Great place in the heart of Galway. Be mindful that this place is on top of a pub. So the music can be heard in the rooms till 2AM. But they do provide earplugs, which is nice. Great location does come at a cost.

We had a good experience when we stayed for 5 nights in late July 2025. The location is superb, right in the centre of Galway's vibrant Latin Quarter. Our room was somewhat small, but clean and modern. Adequate for our needs and good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, if you're considering a stay at the Snug Townhouse I'd like to make you aware of a couple of things; First, this hotel is in a lively, noisy location. Pubs adjacent to and opposite the hotel are busy until the early hours of the morning, so is the street outside. Our room was on the first floor facing Quay Street. The noise didn't bother us, but may well keep more sensitive guests awake at night. Secondly, the Spanish Arch carpark is very convenient. A short walk from the hotel and always has spaces (best value for us was a weekly ticket for 50 euros). But it is narrow and tight. I'd recommend you only enter if you have a small to average sized vehicle. Those with medium+ size cars were struggling to manoeuvre and squeeze into the small parking spaces.

Dont stay here if you want a quiet night. The ear plugs should have been the first clue. Close to many bars and restaurants which is nice and the room was spacious enough. The noise was too much though. Parking was very close but a very tight squeeze to get up the ramps.

Location

Snug is the key word! Our room was very snug! But we were right in the heart of Galway. Despite staying in such a central area, our room was very quiet.

This townhouse is in a perfect location, right in the middle of eyre square. It can be a little noisey but that’s to be expected considering its locations. The room also has air con which is great because opening the window can lead to more noise. Great area location to stay in if you plan on hitting the bars! 10/10

Right in the heart of Galway. Glad there was air conditioning so we didnt have to open window since it was the hopping part of Galway.
