Kilmorey Lodge

Great location!

This was my second time staying at this lodge. Really enjoyed it the first time and thought to come back again. It was a good trip this time around too but I didn’t like the room I was in. Mainly because it was located on the main floor right across from the elevator, with the pub and restaurant just a few steps down the hallway, due to which it got a bit noisy. With such heavy foot traffic in that area, I would suggest management to close off that room or use it for other purposes. Overall, staff were very friendly, the restaurant served great food and the rooms were well kept and clean.

Hotel was ok.

This hotel is really wonderful. I assume it has been fully renovated as the decor and furniture were in excellent condition. We had a lake view which was beautiful. I highly recommend this place! It’s walkable to everything in this small, quaint town. Easy access to restaurants, shops, and marina. Note to those coming in from US: there are two border stations if you’re coming up from the east side of Glacier. One is off highway 89 (Piegan-Carway). The other is off highway 17 (Chief Mountain). The Chief Mountain station has limited hours. We got there and it was closed. We didn’t realize there was another border crossing (thanks, Google maps!) so we thought we were “locked out” of Canada for the night with no place to sleep. Having no cell service at Chief Mountain, we drove back to St. Mary to see whether they had any available rooms. The reception desk there was kind enough to explain about the other crossing at Piegan that is open until 11pm. Crisis averted!

Such a wonderful environment with spectacular views. Great access to downtown and the lake. Our room was perfect!

Everything about this property we enjoyed. Staff seemed to always be new people.

Had a King Deluxe lake view upstairs room. Vaulted ceilings, exterior patio overlooking the grass lawn, trees lining the shoreline and the lake in the background. Very quiet room with the incoming street to Waterton next to the property. The large glass windows allowed a lot of light into the room and to open those windows at night. The room was nicely appointed and large with the bathroom being nice size with a large walk in shower. Having the restaurant and a bar downstairs was a nice feature on the small property. The air conditioning was nice during our stay in mid-September. Breakfast was 10% off every day. On nice weather mornings you can eat on the outside patio overlooking the lake. Would stay here in a heartbeat next visit.
