Ishq Colombo

The rooms are huge and bedding is decadent. Best shower I’ve ever had in a hotel. The water pressure is incredible and all the bath fixtures are super high end. AC works great and rooms are super dark at night.

The swimming pool is directly next to the lobby (which is actually a formal sitting area as this is a home, not a hotel). This set up is kind of awkward when you’re in the pool and guests are checking in. All public spaces do not have air conditioning (or it’s not turned on) so if you’re not in your room you’re sweating. Decor is very formal and somewhat uninviting. This is just my personal taste—others may love it.

The property was exquisite. The garden and the interiors are beautifully designed with such attention to detail.

Incredibly beautiful and vet clean

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel in Colombo. Danushka was excellent and made sure we wanted for nothing throughout our visit; his service really made the experience special. The jacuzzi was lovely and the pool area was just as relaxing. There are so many great spaces to unwind, from the quiet library to the downstairs courtyard and the upstairs chill-out area, which made the whole place feel like a peaceful retreat. The hotel itself is stunning, the food was delicious, and everything felt like excellent value for money. It truly felt like an oasis in the middle of the city of Colombo. We would happily stay again.

One word: WOW! Everything exceeded our expectations, the room, the decor, the food and the service. We will stay again! Special thank you to our butler Dhanushka who made our stay extra special and one to remember. Thank you.
