Hotel Mondego

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Extremely clean, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, eco friendly, fantastic breakfast with tons of selection and great location!

Hotel is super near the train station so that makes it convenient for train travellers. It’s also very walkable to the old town where there’re lots of dining options. The rooms are really big and there was a king sized bed in our room which is quite rare in Europe. The only gripe we had was that the water from the shower (which was in the bathtub) splashes out quite a bit onto the bathroom floor, and the wet bathroom floor gets really slippery once wet. The hotel breakfast offers a good selection of hot and cold food, and 2 big corporate Nespresso machines. The hotel staff are competent and conversant in English. Overall a very good hotel!

The staff was very friendly, extremely helpful and appreciated their guest. I would stay there again.

Outstandingly cheerful, friendly service, in perfect location opposite the station

4.5 stars: clean, quiet, easy to walk everywhere, close to the train station (Coimbra, not Coimbra B). Nice, friendly staff who found me GF bread for breakfast. Room decent sized. I would stay there again.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I've stayed in hundreds. I’m not talking about luxury things like spas etc. It’s perfect in every way regarding cleanliness and comfort. The beds, linens, and pillows are top of the line. All better than high end chain hotels. Location is right in the old town. I could keep raving but will just end with very highly recommended.

Customer service was excellent

Great location and excellent breakfast. However and 8am start for breakfast is a little late.

Property was close to many restaurant choices, and only steps away from historical sites.
