Proximity to the hanging bridges

some of the food items could have been a little better, pancakes not very good my daughter said

that we had to drive down for breakfast daily, food not really hot enough

When we planned our trip to Panama, I wanted a "rainforest experience" and something like being in a treehouse in a rainforest. This beautiful Villa delivered just exactly that. It is secluded, even though it is across the street from the Hanging Bridges of La Fortuna. It was quiet, except for THE BIRDS! What a glorious array of birds we both saw and heard. The "Merlin" app, which identifies birds by their call, heard 43 different birds in a one-hour early morning listen. The perfect: The location - quiet, secluded, up in the rainforest canopy. The room - beautiful, with a great balcony for relaxing. The okay: There is no on-site restaurant, so even though we booked a room with complimentary breakfast, we took a shuttle to the nearby Lost Iguana resort and had a lovely breakfast there. The only downside was that they dictated our breakfast time - 8:15, take it or leave it. We didn't have the opportunity to sleep in, if we wanted breakfast. They are planning to add a restaurant, but it will be a while. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! If we ever come back to Costa Rica it is at the top of our list. It was magical.

Probably the coolest place with the best hotel room view I’ve ever stayed in. You go to sleep and wake up looking at the volcano- it’s almost surreal. It is located adjacent to Mistico Park, so take advantage of that and go to the park at opening time- you won’t regret getting up early for that privacy.

The drive is windy and at times rugged, so get a good SUV, buckle up, and be patient. It is WELL worth it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Sangregado. Larry was so helpful getting us settled in with a welcome drink and making bookings for our activities. Muchas gracias Larry. The view is unbeatable. It was magical to wake up to the sunrise behind the volcano. Not only does the villa have a view, the shower too! I would not hesitate to book again. The location is fantastic if you plan to do the Mystico hanging bridges. They are directly in front, a 2 minute walk. There is no restaurant on the site. Sangregado contacted us in advance to let us know the options were the restaurant at the Mystico hanging bridges or at the resort below (The Blue Hisbiscus restaurant at the Lost Iguana resort). We thought it was neat to see another resort and the breakfast and dinner we had there was very nice. They treated us like guests of their own resort. All in all a fantastic stay that I hugely recommend.

A little bit of construction when we arrived but it stopped shortly after. I fully understand why they are trying to expand this gem of a spot.

Une véritable immersion dans la nature, à deux pas du parc. Le lodge offre de grands espaces et un niveau de confort très appréciable, idéal pour se détendre en pleine tranquillité.

Le restaurant n’est accessible en voiture qu’à environ 600 m, ce qui peut être peu pratique pour le petit déjeuner. La machine à laver et le sèche‑linge étaient malheureusement en panne lors de notre séjour, mais pour le reste, tout s’est très bien passé.

Chambre formidable, spacieuse, vue magnifique, lit super , personnel agréable et accueillant . Très bon petit déjeuner et dîner du soir mais un peu cher
