Barnes Fell Apartments

We enjoyed the apartments central yet quiet location. It's views over ambleside and windermere are fantastic. Ethna the host is very welcoming and friendly, showing us where to park and offering recommendations for things to do. Comfy bed. A perfect place to stay for a getaway in Ambleside!

The apartment is spacious and has lots of natural light from the windows and the owner was very helpful answering questions if we had any.

Everything about this stay was wonderful. Out host Ethna was very welcoming with lots of great information about the local areas and places to visit. If you had any questions she would be more than happy to answer them going above and beyond as a host. The flat itself was wonderful with plenty of space and wonderful views over Ambleside. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were cosy and clean! There were even some chocolates left for us to nibble on which was a tasty surprise, as well as coffee, teas, milk, jams, etc.. which were all delicious and a lovely welcoming gesture. I would reccomend staying here to anyone wanting to make the most out of their visit to Ambleside, with shops only being a short walk away and parking for your car being accessible. We hope to come back again soon and wish you all the best. :)

We received a very friendly welcome and a supply of tea/coffee and fresh milk. The apartment is compact and comfortable and had everything we needed, including a private parking space, a short walk away. The photographs accurately reflect the furnishings in the apartment. The bathroom is spacious and contains a separate shower and lovely large bath.

Whilst close to the centre of Ambleside, the apartment is up a steep hill from the town. The furnishings are comfortable, but a little old fashioned. There is limited headroom on one side of the bed due to the characterful sloping ceiling.

From beginning to end we had a lovely time at Barnes Fell, the apartment was lovely and Ethna was incredibly friendly and helpful! Hope to be back soon.

Second visit to these beautiful apartments, greeted by the lovely host Ethna who is amazingly welcoming and extremely helpful. The rooms (which we have stayed in two different ones) are spotless and the attention to detail to make you stay cosy and comfortable is the extra mile. The views from the room are stunning. The location is a very short distance from Ambleside centre.
