"Great location, views, comfort and a wonderful host."

Wonderful apartment in a quiet area just a 5min walk from the town centre. As well as stunning views the apartment was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and had everything you could need. Ethna was in touch with us before our stay and met us on arrival. She had left tea, coffee, milk etc as well as some homemade jam. She kept in touch during our stay to see if all was ok and if we required anything and recommended several local restaurants for an evening meal for our wedding anniversary and left us a card and some chocolates. Ethna was the perfect host. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Ambleside.

I had a wonderful stay at Barnes Fell. I was greeted by Ethna, who run's everything there. She is a super sweet woman who was very accommodating! The location in Ambleside was perfect, and the apartment was clean and comfortable.

"Homely accommodation, in the heart of Ambleside, with a humble host."

The property was that of a very high standard, with tasteful decor. All kitchen appliances/crockery & cleaning products were provided, as was the lovely added touch of some; tea and coffee supplies, fresh milk, butter & homemade jam.

There’s nothing we didn’t like about our stay at Barnes Fells. Only thing to note, for mobility reasons, it’s perched up on a hill, with a steep (but short) walk, with the car parking being a little further round from the property also. The plus side of this, is the views from the window are stunning. A lovely way to enjoy your morning cuppa.

"Great flat, Fab location, Lovely Host"

The Flat was very close to the centre of Ambleside but was also in a very quiet location. Great views from the windows and Ethna was a lovely host. Would definitely stay again in future.

It had everything I needed. Barnes Fell is close to the busy centre of Ambleside yet the property is in a quiet and pleasant location. Ethna, the owner, is kind, friendly and helpful.
