Panoramic View Hotel

We are American expats that have lived in Ethiopia for three years now. We stayed at the Panorama in December 2019 and was floored by the view, the staff, and the incredible value for the price. I had family visiting here this Summer and I made it a point to return to Lalibela and the Panorama if it was at all possible post both Covid and the political situation. We knew going in that the entire city would not have power. We were only the second guests they have had since all that has happened, and they couldn't have been more accommodating for us. They do have their own generator and ran the power for about four hours a day for meals, hot showers, and to charge your electronic devices. The staff were very communicative on when those times would be so you could plan ahead accordingly. We went during the fasting season, and the meals were excellent. I would 10/10 recommend staying here to anyone that would ask me. They are doing the absolute best that is possible in a situation that at most could be described as trying for the people of that region. I hope to be able to go back again and sit on a saddle on the terrace overlooking the breathtaking view, and raise a bottle of St. George when times are better and the hotel is back up and running at full speed. Thank you for making our trip as comfortable as we could have hoped.

I had an overall excellent experiences ! There were friendly staff's , nice view as the name indicate its beyond panoramic , delicious food including their free breakfast , as local people's told me that one regional rebel groups were patrolled the town for more than six months , and fought with government trops due to this many infrastructure damaged like electricities and it has not been reconstructed yet , but i don't pass without appreciating unlike the other hotel's Panoramic View Hotel , Lalibela -they have 24/7 standby generator which give power for the entire of the hotel compound, as the gas station isn't working yet due to the power ,thus they brought fuel for the generator from the local people as a black market , even though there is shortage of water supply but still panoramic view have enough water ....they generally provide excellent hospitality services ! Highly recommended place if you had the chance to visit Lalibela ( finger crossed ) Kathy
