Panoramic View Hotel

I was recommended this place by my friend who had been stayed here @panoramicviewhotel and I got the hotel standard beyond my expectation . The room at Panoramic are very nice and extraordinary , the staffs , cleanliness , toiletries , the large well equipied and breath taking top terrace view make this place to stand out....not to mention the lovely breakfast buffets which we were served for free 😍 , Location is perfect along the back side of the hotel where you can able to look over different types of birds and countryside Livingstone's ! Highly recommended place while staying in Lalibela !

The staff are very friendly and the service is very good. The view from the room was excellent. Especially the landscape during sunset time. The hotel arranged tour with very professional guide. Mr Mekuanint introduced a lot of knowledge of the churches and guided me to a local religious ceremony in one of the churches, which was extremely impressive.

The wifi was not available in my room, only available in lobby and restaurant. The credit card payment was also not stable. But considering the city is recovering from a difficult situation, this is acceptable and expected to be fixed.

There was a tour guide named Dawit (David) that works with the hotel who was amazing and I recommend him 100% if you are visiting the Rock-Hewn Churches. Dawit is very knowledgeable of the church history and will give you an expert detailed tour.

The views from the room are UN-BELIEVABLE. By far the main reason to stay here. Imagine just chilling in your private terrace watching the sun set over the mountains. But other than that, the staff was great and not overly pushy, the room itself basic but comfy enough, and the facilities in the area look like they would be amazing -- in peaceful times, but right now the place is very empty.

Most of the time there was no power and since there were very few guests the generator was off most of the time. The restaurant had very few options for the very same reason. I wish I could be here before the war and see the place in full glory.

Very good location, excellent staff, everyone is very friendly and helpful, they organised a great tour taking us around Lalibela and the churches for 3 days.

There is not always electricity, though they have a generator. Morning and evenings the generator is running (even if there are not many guests) - would still choose this place over other places to be on the save side with electriciy
