"A hidden gem"

Great place to stay, and it's lovely and quiet. We stayed in room 3, it's nicely decorated and has plenty of storage space and has a bath!. There were pastries, yoghurt, water etc for breakfast After an afternoon wandering and having had dinner, it was nice to be able to sit out front and have a drink. There is a fridge just inside the front door for purchasing drinks, chocolate, etc, and an honesty box for paying. The prices were good. It's a mile to walk to Cliffords Tower, a bit further if you walk by the river.

The room wasn't serviced over the weekend, Maybe i missed that! And if I'd known that, I'd have asked for more yoghurt and pastries, hey ho!

Comfortable B&B with a friendly host, and a good bed, in a quite location on walkable distance from the University (nice walk along the allotments and through the park) and a short busride from the centre. Snacks, coffee and tea in the room

Very friendly host, great location in a quiet neighbourhood but a nice stroll from the city centre. Comfortable and cosy room. Large bathroom with toiletries, robes and slippers. Generous welcome kit of fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and jam, and chocolates, which was greatly appreciated after a long day of travel. Good information on places to eat and drink. Car parking just outside the property. Good value for money.

Nothing. It met our expectations and we’d be happy to stay again.

"Superb"

The room was comfortable with plenty of space. There was a kettle, microwave, mini fridge and even some snacks. The bathroom is modern with a lovely shower. The walk along the river into York was beautiful and felt very safe at night after seeing a show in the Museum Gardens.
