Excellent accommodation in a great spot, just a short walk to the city centre. The room was clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. Lovely little extras of pastries and fruit. The host was really helpful. We will definitely be returning.

Great location, easy to stroll into York, whilst in a quiet area. Ashley greeted us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. There's good information in the room about pubs and facilities near by. Our twin room was spotless, beds were comfortable and the linen nice. It was a lovely touch to provide bathrobes and there were plenty of towels. A good shower with plenty of hot water, and toiletries provided. All the decor and carpet looks fresh and new. Whilst breakfast wasn't provided there are goodies in the room. A kettle, fridge and microwave along with crockery and cutlery made it easy for us to 'do our own' breakfast. And the information sheets provides details of cafes and pubs if you want something more substantial.

It's a good idea to use a torch (we used the one on our phone) to operate the key safe in the dark.

Location excellent the room isn't with breakfast but there is yogurts water tea coffee biscuits scones other pastries also a bowel of fruit what more could anyone ask for, so comfortable and clean it couldn't be better. Been twice and will definitely be back for a third time and more

Comfortable, good facilities, good value, reasonable location. Welcoming and useful local info and lovely complementary breakfast supplies.

The stairs were rather steep and dark - no light on the upper landing
