Captivating apartment in glasgow westend uk

Proximity to university of Glasgow. Ease of access. Clean modern apartment with original period features.

Overall the property was clean. In a great location very spacious and good facilities within apartment.

Really disappointed that other reviews-feedback have not been addressed. The windows are single glazed so very noisy and the bedroom blind is literally paper thin. So bright with sun shining in at crack of dawn . A decent pair of blackout curtains would help this. Also there must be an issue with the water tanks. When water turned on the most horrific noise comes from it and can be heard throughout. It must drive neighbours crazy.

The flat was bright and airy, reasonably equipped for a short stay and very conveniently located for transport links and bars/restaurants. It was clean and the shower was good. Self check-in and out was straightforward.

The flat faced a busy road and the window glazing did not keep out the loud noise from traffic and people in the street late at night until 3 to 4am (noise much worse at the weekend). It was light very early in the morning, and one window blind was missing, so eye shades were essential for us. The pillows were thin but the bed was otherwise comfortable. The hot water pipe often made a very loud and unpleasant noise when the tap was turned on in the kitchen or bathroom (host was made aware and said that this would be looked into on our departure). Although it stated that there was a "coffee machine" there was only a pot for use on the hob or a cafetiere. It also stated that there was a patio but it was not attached to the flat itself if there was one at the back of the building (we were not informed). The crockery did not include bowls for breakfast cereal etc.

The location was ideal for where we were visiting in the west end of Glasgow.

Grubby window frames and missing blinds on one side of the living room. Very poor tv reception - constant pixellation on most tv and you tube channels which was very frustrating. No plug for the hand basin in bathroom....the bath plug was too large. Dreadful racket when turning on hot water taps in kitchen and bathroom....it sounded like a flatulent tuba! Goodness knows how the neighbours cope with that noise. Stair carpet is loose on 4 stairs - missing stair rods make it dangerous.

Beautiful, clean apartment, reasonable price and in an excellent location. I'd read a couple of comments saying the bed was uncomfortable, possibly has a new mattress because it seemed firm and comfortable to me. Cupboard has most of the basics you need, tea, coffee, cooking oil, salt, vinegar etc Will definitely use again when I come back to Glasgow

Maybe a blackout blind in bedroom, it's quite a thin blind, light starts pouring in about 6am. Would not put me off coming back though.

Honestly a partial refund would be appreciated, don't stay here if you value sleep. The mattress is about as thick as a napkin and it had slats missing and collapsed in the middle of the night, one of the sections had a single slat diagonally wedged, as mentioned this failed The neighbours also knocked on the door claiming there was a leak in the building, which we were unable to help or advise on further than demonstrating we were not responsible There was a blind missing, the apartment faces a busy street, so the privacy is lacking, and there is no light blocking - so we were woken at 6am every morning
