L'emplacement, le charme de la bâtisse

Nous nous sommes retrouvés au milieu d'un groupe d'espagnols qui occupait toute la cuisine et le frigo comme s'il était seul dans le logement. A cela, il faut rajouter les nuisances sonores imposés par ce même groupe jusqu'à une heure du matin....

This place was perfect to stay the first few nights in Sao Miguel. It had everything you need- comfy bed, separate bathroom and a equipped kitchen. I stayed in a single room the first night and then my friends and I shared a room with three single beds and attached bathroom. Parking can be tricky- the streets are narrow but we did not have any problems finding spots near the lodge. Also, you will hear planes overhead- this is close to the airport so it makes it convenient in that way but if you don't want that noise, you will want to stay farther away from the airport.

Great location, and athmosphere, comfortable rooms, beds, pool, kichen is super equipped. Great communication with the staff. Highly recomended.

Some bugs, but not if you leave the windows closed.

Had all the facilities we needed for a short stay, and within walking distance of the airport and city centre which had some great restaurants.

The hostel is located in front of a parking. The commodities are fine. The pool was available and the communication with the staff before arrival was perfect. The beds were comfortable.

Even if the location is available online, be aware that the proximity with the airport is real and comes with the downside of the noise : you will wake up at 6:20 or whatever the first flight out of PDL is. Also, and no explanation for it, but when we arrived, there was a live cockroach on it's back in the bathroom... The sheets were clean and so were the towels. The walls needs a refresh, some spots have moisture. And no AC, only a ventilator (so in summer, windows must be open => again, more plane noise) We never saw any staff present when we were there, only via booking messages but it works fine and a message says fresh towels for the pool are available at the reception even if no staff is there.

Pool in the center of town, big family room, clean, nice common area (living arra and kitchen, although we did not use it as just one night stay)

There was nobody at reception and the telephone numbers left for taxis did not answer (finally went through booking.com), bathroom down the hall (not en suite) not very practical
