Generally a very welcoming environment with excellent staff

The beach, whilst quite sandy, was very stony, to the extent that we went out to buy beach shoes to access the sea.

- The hotel facilities are very good - pools, beach, etc. Everything is beautiful and you can see they really take good care of everything. - The food in the buffet restaurant was good, with a lot of options for breakfast and dinner. - Our room (with jacuzzi) was also nice - very clean, nice decoration, and comfortable beds. - The beach is pretty and, on lucky days, the water is super clean and calm.

Room: 1) It was close to the road, so we could hear the noise from it - the door of our room wasn't really soundproof. 2) On a few days, there was a strong sewage smell coming from the toilet. The staff fixed it, but I believe this is the sort of thing that shouldn't happen in a 5 star hotel. Food and drinks from the pool bar: 3) Honestly, worst cocktails I had in my life. Basically no alcohol in it, and just sugar. The food (sandwiches, snacks) was barely ok...for the price you pay, I was really expecting higher standards. Service: 4) Generally, everyone was cordial and a few people in the main restaurant were very very nice! However, one afternoon we were sleeping in our room and the phone rang twice and then when we picked up someone hang up. We called the reception to see what was this about, and they gave a weird excuse that they wanted to check if our stay was going well...this was very weird. 5) They have an app, and there's an option there to reach the staff via WhatsApp. We sent a message asking something, and we never had a response. Other: 6) The parking lot was a bit far from the hotel, and the way there was quite a dark small street full of garbage. 7) There's not much to do in the surroundings of the hotel - a few small shops and a few okish restaurants. Our objective was to stay mostly in the hotel, so this wasn't really an issue. But I think it's important to flag.

DISAPPOINTED!!! I booked the hotel from booking.com and after you pay and get there they have rules and hotel policy that you dont know before you get there !!! they can they you private property and belonging without any notice at the pool sunbads between 9:00-10:00 if you go to restaurant , room , or gym in my case, so you must stay there !! dont forget you pay in august 438€ per night at 5stars hotel, and in the morning the bar is closed until 10:00 but you can not bring a can of Pepsi in my case because its not from thei bar!!! its total disapoonment Amira never again! 4 star hotel with 5 star price! the food at the beach bar is frozen food and the staff and pool boy Nikos very agressive !!! i made a complain at booking

The staff, and service was top level

The resort is gorgeous. Very clean both inside and out. The front desk and guest services staff were very friendly and super helpful. The pool is simply perfect and there is plenty of sun beds for everyone. Plenty of really great restaurants in walking distance.

The breakfast was great for the first 2 days but is always the same thing. It got a little boring but the freshly squeezed orange juice every morning was always welcome.

Clean hotel and facilities

Location is good, the beach is good/ but big rocks in the water- water shoes needed. breakfast can be better quality, more Cretan selections
