We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff was warm and welcoming, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We also appreciated the addition of new services like the pillow menu – even though we didn’t use it, it’s a thoughtful touch. Overall, a great experience, and we’d be happy to return!

We usually go self catering when we holiday, but decided this time to do a hotel. Didn't regret it - what a fabulous experience. Amazing value, fantastic food, professional and friendly staff. Room was lovely with great tech (once we figured out all the switched!) The only criticism, common in many places, was guests reserving sun beds by the pool with towels. They claimed to not allow this but nobody was enforcing it.

There was so much we loved about this beautiful hotel, from the welcome drink to the staff who worked so hard keeping the grounds so spotlessly clean, our lovely room with a fantastic sea view, to the wonderful anniversary meal we had at ALMYRA restaurant and the way the staff went above and beyond to make our evening so special. It was almost a perfect…almost. We had a bizarre experience on our first day, after lounging on the beach all morning, we decided to get a drink and explore the grounds. When we returned after around 45 minutes, we had been turfed off our beds,our belongings had been removed from our sun loungers, and other guests were in our place. When we spoke to the beach attendants we were informed we had 30 minutes away from our beds before being allocated to someone else! While I do not agree with guests reserving sun-beds, this hotel took that rule to the extreme! We spoke to the Pool manager, who I have to say was the most arrogant and disrespectful man, and his abrupt manner lets this beautiful hotel down. Although we spoke with the lovey ladies on guest services and the hotel management, and they tried to resolve this for us, this behaviour continued throughout our holiday, We had to tell the pool waiters, whenever we moved away from our loungers, only to be questioned about where we were going and informing us we had 30 minutes to return. We were prisoners, not guests. What was even more confusing, this rule seemed only to apply to us, as we watched other guests appear to come and go as they pleased, without question. The only explanation we were given was if the beach area was busy, they simply give the bed to someone else. May I suggest the hotel invest in more sun loungers, rather making their guests feel like they cannot even go for a leisurely walk! Thank you to the wonderful staff that did contribute to us having a wonderful holiday despite the baffling behaviour we experienced on the beach.

Great location with excellent food

What an amazing hotel! First thing to mention is the sunsets which are amazing. We stayed in one of the seafront suites with a private pool and the room was perfect. With this room type you also get a private cabana on the beach, which was great for us, as we are rarely up early enough to get a good spot at the pool. We were out in Rethymnon most nights, but did have dinner at the Almyra restaurant on one evening. The food was really good and such a good vibe watching the sunset on the terrace. There’s entertainment on each evening, usually a percussion and singer combo 9pm to 11pm. The hotel is immaculately clean and most importantly the service we received throughout our stay was faultless. In terms of location there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops around the hotel. It’s approx a 10 min taxi into the centre of Rethymnon which costs about €15. Rethymnon is a beautiful city and this hotel is the perfect place to stay to enjoy it. Very highly recommended!

From arrival, the Greeting from the taxi was very warm and extremely welcoming very easy check in with explanation of the hotel, we were taken to our junior suite room which had the most fabulous sea view, Room was amazing. Nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff to make our trip memorable. We were half board, every day the dinner did not disappoint, so many options . The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. The pool was great to cool off with jacuzzi sunbeds in the pool which I have never seen before. A fabulous hotel which is Adult Only , that made it very relaxing. We will return to this very relaxing hotel

This hotel was just what myself and husband were looking for, total peace and relaxation,which we received due to the ambiance atmosphere of the place.The hotel is spotless clean and I observed the cleaning staff who worked to a very high standard,as did all the staff working in different positions within the hotel they really do there job well and have top class customer service skills.the food is of great variety and plentiful to choose from,the deserts were just the best and presented beautifully, this is a suggestion NOT a complaint..the breakfast coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice should be shelf service, sometimes myself and husband were nearly finished our breakfast before the waitress came and asked us, or more waiting staff on in the breakfast service.there is not much to do in the surrounding area outside we took a day trip to the mountain villages which was superb,and two trips into town and the rest just relaxing and recharging, while I was there it was my birthday I came back to the room to a delicious chocolate cake and some sparkling wine which was a lovely gesture,I will definitely be returning to this peaceful resort in the near future.

The hotel was excellent and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel and grounds are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness and order. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was because of the food. In my opinion it was 3 star at best. Food was cooked at the stations but was then placed in dishes at the back of the servery where it became tepid before it replenished the almost empty self service dishes, too few staff didn't help the situation.
