"Misleading, Unhygienic, and Unfair charges"

Extremely disappointing experience. The unit was advertised as a luxury stay, but what we encountered was far from it. The apartment was dirty on arrival—sticky floors, a strong food odor, and damaged doors throughout. The outdoor area was unusable due to a raccoon living on the balcony, and the entrance was swarming with mosquitoes, which made it especially difficult as I was traveling with small children. The listing claimed to be non-smoking, but the smell of smoke was overwhelming both inside and outside the unit. We were also uncomfortable throughout the night with itching, raising concerns about possible bed bugs. Despite reaching out with these issues during the stay, we received no response or support. To make matters worse, they later charged me for a “late check-out” that didn’t occur and a “cleaning call” I never made. Completely unprofessional and dishonest. I would not recommend booking with Global Stay.

"Be warned. Be sure of your dates, no adjusting. Take pics when you arrive and don't stain a towel."

It is a lovely place, however dealing with this company, and people was challenging.

Please read my prior review. I stayed for 9 nights, and the company tried to cancel this reservation to avoid my previous review. Now they are trying to cancel this one with Booking.com I don't find these people easy to work with at all. I find them to be underhanded, and unsuitable for the hospitality business.

"Nice place-Be warned that things may not be up to standard, but you have to be-No flexibility"

The unit itself is lovely. However, I was locked in, as the remote door opener did not open the door. I contacted the host via WhatsApp, they replied 1.5 hours later, saying someone would come the next day. I ended up going to the balcony, climbing over the railing, shimmying along the neighbors balcony to get to some stairs, which I climbed down backwards on the outside edge of the stair and railings. I then opened the door from the outside, and did not lock it again. When the service guy came the next morning, he did fix the issue. While he was there, I pointed out that the bed was very uncomfortable, and it was discovered that the legs supporting the bed frame and mattress were broken. He came back in the day and rebuilt the frame entirely. Also I informed him that the furnace filter needed replacing. More in the next section. I was satisfied that the service guy fixed the bed, so one night of bad sleep I could take.

Despite all of this, after I had left for a total of 9 days (2 separate reservations, as they would not move my reservation despite the place being empty-they said this), I was charged $15 for 2 stains on a kitchen towel, one of which was already there, and one which was my doing. OK-$15 right? Big deal. For either party. What I found was that this place was is not suited to the hospitality business. Kitchen towels get stained. Reservations sometimes need to be adjusted. The adherence to policies was so strict on their end. But the missing smoke detectors are a city violation (I told them about this, and they were not replaced). As well as there were two razors with hair attached, one in each shower. I informed the company that I would give them a poor rating, and why. They 'cancelled' my reservation with Booking.com to restrict me from rating, but clearly forgot I had two reservations. And they missed this one. So- It is a nice place, but be warned that things may not be up to snuff, which apparently is OK, but if you inadvertently stain a kitchen towel, or something similar, you will be charged. I find them not to be suited to hospitality.

Asked for double the deposit amount via undedicated medium stating holiday season risk settlement which was not even disclosed prior booking, shady operation- ask for your personal information over non secure lines, and Xpedia is also party in all of this and would override any wrong doings these guys are doing.

"Overall this property didn’t suit us"

Beautifully appointed downstairs

The second bedroom was completely inadequate. There was no bedside table or light, the bedcovers were poor, and the pillows too. I barely slept. Really only the principal bedroom is properly equipped. The second bedroom is really a dressing room for the principal bedroom and needs to be changed to be honestly offered as accommodation for a third adult. Also there was one key only for 3 adults. Inadequate. We had separate things to go to which was impossible with only one key.
