Oniro Skiathos

I’m waiting to leave this lovely hotel so thought I’d write my review now. Apart from the stunning views, which I’ll come back to, the biggest asset is the staff. From the moment we arrived they have been so friendly, helpful and everything with a smile. It is a relatively small staff ensemble who are just wonderful. Shout outs to Mira, Niko and Costas who went above and beyond providing a first class service all with big smiles. The reception staff, sorry I don’t know their names, were also very helpful and deserve a mention. Fantastic service and a credit to the hotel and company. Also a shout out for those more behind the scenes who service the rooms and also man the minibus. The hotel has spectacular views across to Skiathos Town where you are also able to witness beautiful sun rises, if you are up! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Although a little isolated on the hillside there is a minibus that will take you to the port and bring you back. There is a timetable but make sure you book your places the day before to ensure a space. You can easily get a taxi from the port if you need to. The breakfast is a good buffet with hot and cold choices. Snacks are available in the bar throughout the day and an a la carte menu is available for evening meal on the terrace around the pool. Again make sure you book as it is popular. One of the best meals we had during our stay. If you are after a chill out then this is the place for you. You can walk to the beach, or get the hotel shuttle bus, but you will have an uphill climb if you walk! Would thoroughly recommend this hotel but remember it is on a hillside and a little isolated although has stunning views and fantastic staff! Thank you to all for an enjoyable and wonderful stay.

Everything was superb!!! The staff first of all, the premisses the superstanning view from the pool and most of the rooms!!! Cleanliness, the view, the breakfast room, the spacious room with the best view you could desire, the restaurant "aesta" we had the best dinner in Skiathos there, everything you could ask for for a relaxing holiday you should find it here! The people that works in this hotel makes the difference! All smiles, with the aim to help you and make your stay even more wonderfull!!! 10/10 from me for this exceptional experience in this little hotel with a big smile from me and my husband! You made our stay spectacular!!! This is my very best choice for my next trip to Skiathos!! I will come back! Thank you all so much!!! Keep going and aim high!!! Katerina F, Greece

We booked this hotel as a “cheeky week” and we are so glad we did. A beautiful hotel with amazing views in every direction. The rooms are newly decorated, well equipped and very clean…all have sea views except for a handful of ground floor ones. The staff are amazing…a small team but they work tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly…thanks to Niko, Costas and Mira for their hard work. Only criticism would be that the hotel has a policy of closing the pool until 10.30 and at 18.00 which seems strange. Some reviews have mentioned shortage of sun beds…if you return to the hotel mid afternoon then yes you might struggle but that’s the same in most hotels…never had a problem getting a sun bed any morning. Would recommend this hotel for a relaxing break on a beautiful island where there is no shortage of things to do if you want to

Beautiful hotel and friendly helpful staff. The views from the hotel were stunning. Beautiful pool area with deeply padded sunbeds. Need a few more beds though. Pool towels available from reception. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice. The only downside was the distance from town. The very very steep drive up to the hotel. Not walkable in the high temps About 1.5-2 miles up ! Needed a larger shuttle bus. And it would be great if the bar stayed open until the last shuttle bus arrived back at night. So you could have a drink. The last pick up was 11.15pm which is too early. But had a lovely stay.

WOW what a beautiful view from this fabulous hotel. Driving up to the hotel l thought why have l booked this up a hill ? Long way to walk to get to town and up a steep hill. Checked in the hotel and we were given information about the free shuttle bus, need not of worried at all. Staff were fabulous nothing was to much trouble. We ate there a few times and the food was gorgeous from snack menus to evening meals. Lovely room spotlessly clean and furnished very nice, large shower and very nice bathroom. Very comfortable king size bed and linen changed regular. Pool area very nice and comfortable sun beds and no trouble getting them anytime. Can’t wait to return hopefully next year.

Arrived on the 15th June for a week,but unfortunately they had a power cut but was given a temporary room til we could get in to ours.The reception staff are most helpful.Breakfast was ample but repetitive, Julia who worked breakfast and lunch was so helpful and would go out of her way.The hotel is so relaxing and the views are amazing. You have regularly bus service and the drivers are great.All the staff were very friendly.

We have just returned home after an amazing honeymoon staying at this relaxing hotel. We booked through Jet2 holidays and were picked up efficiently from the airport and within 15 minutes we were at the hotel. The gentleman on reception was very welcoming, informative and assisted us with our luggage. We we're offered a welcome drink which was much appreciated. One of the reasons we booked this hotel specifically was because of the views and they were absolutely stunning. The photos really don't do it justice. The reception/bar area is open, modern with traditional touches and opens out to the pool area and the incredible views. The loungers are extremely comfortable and have big umbrellas to provide shade if needed. All rooms have been recently refurbished and have most things you need. The shower had excellent pressure, the air con worked really well and the bed was probably one of the best we have ever slept in. The room was cleaned and refreshed daily. The only thing I would say about the room is that they could do with more hangers and it would be great if they could replenish the tea and milk sachets however I was able to get some from the bar when asked. The hotel provides a free shuttle service to both the bus stop/Vasillas beach and Skiathos Town. This was running 4 times per day but increased to 6 times per day during the week meaning you have more options. Just make sure you book it in advance to guarantee a space. The bus stop is on the main Skiathos - Koukounaries route and is a maximum of €3 per ticket or you can just take the shuttle into Skiathos town which is beautiful. If you like beaches then there is Vasillas beach located next to the bus stop where the shuttle drops you off however we preferred Achladies beach which is a 15 minute walk from there (steep hill from the road to the beach). We also recommend visiting Vromolimnos and Kolios beach. Koukounaries beach was also stunning and worth visiting however was quite busy and very popular. There are many excursions on offer and can be booked through reception or Jet2. We did the Island Hopping excursion visiting both Skopelos and Alonissos (pay the extra €5 for the bus to Alonissos old town, it's worth it) and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was fantastic and had a great choice of both cooked and continental. We did also eat a few times in the hotels restaurant. We recommend the burger as it was one of the biggest and best we've ever had. We also recommend eating at Agnadi Azzurro which is a restaurant located towards the bottom of the hill, Sorokos which is a family run restaurant located on Vasillas beach and for lunch we recommend Mojo's on nearby Achladies beach. Skiathos town also has a huge variety of places to eat and drink. The staff at Oniro were very friendly and professional. They work so hard and we're always happy to assist. They provided a 5 star service to us and made our stay very enjoyable and relaxing. Overall we had an amazing time. I would say Oniro is well suited for couples looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay.

This is a beautiful hotel with the most amazing views. We arrived late evening and we were given such a warm welcome and a welcome drink nothing was too much trouble . The whole place is so clean and the food is lovely with plenty to choose at breakfast. The portions are large for snacks and evening meal.the staff are so friendly and respectful. They genuinely cared for all the guests . Our room had a balcony and a fantastic sea view and was a good size with a proper double bed not 2 divans pushed together . It's not often I want to return to an hotel or resort but I will definately be returning . Thank you

Utrolig fin utsikt og hyggelig personale. God mat. Fint rom, men badet var slitt og ikke blitt pusset opp på lenge. Måtte dusje i et badekar uten forheng, så hele badet var fylt med vann etter en dusj. Var også dårlig med belysning ute på kvelden, men det kom etter noen dager. Er mye lenger til stranda enn beskrevet. Er ca 1 km. Hotellet har en egen sjåfør som de tilbudte seg kunne kjøre oss til stranden som vi benyttes oss av en dag. Det var veldig fint. I tillegg fikk vi låne håndklær fra hotellet hver dag som vi tok med på stranden.

Dejligt hotel lidt oppe i bjergene med udsigt over vandet, ligger for sig selv så meget roligt. Personalet er venlige og meget hjælpsomme en god oplevelse, kan kun anbefales.
