We expected a great stay but left disappointed. The property is beautiful and the food fantastic, but the AC in our unit was broken. Staff assured us it would be fixed but gave no updates until we asked. After asking, they moved us for the first night only, as all rooms were booked the second night. When we returned to our original room, we requested a fan, which they provided—but it fell short of the luxury experience we expected. We shared our disappointment, and while they offered a complimentary bottle of wine at dinner, it felt more like a reaction than a genuine gesture. For such a nice property, the service felt reactive rather than proactive.

Beautiful location & hotel. Staff super friendly & helpful. A good array of different things for breakfast & all delicious. So peaceful & relaxing. it’s very quiet with very few people around the pool & areas. €55 to ostuni return which was a lovely town with great restaurants & bars.

Food definitely on the pricey side - and dining room lighting needs lowering, far too bright for enjoyable dinners. Overall key staff were lovely but some very frosty especially some serving the pool and terrace area

Masseria Santo Scalone was an exceptional property to stay in on our recent honeymoon through Puglia. It is located close to Ostuni, and well located to be able to see Puglia and its surrounds, away from the hustle & bustle. The aesthetic of the property is outstanding, in a beautifully maintained Masseria built in the 14th century. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a spa bath, which was very comfortable. The pool area is very chic and the aesthetic of the umbrellas and pool chairs are very Slim Aarons. The breakfast every morning was superb - we never went hungry! The restaurant was also fantastic - we ended up eating dinner there 2 out of 4 nights, and also lunch one day. The chef is highly reputable, and the menu changes every day. We had a fabulous stay at Masseria Santo Scalone!

We had a few issues with the cleaning of our hotel room on a few days, once day not replacing dirty towels (but taking the dirty towels), and another day not cleaning the room despite being out for 9 hours. The hotel manager quickly rectified this, and even gave us a bottle of champagne as an apology.
