AUI was looking for a good value room for one night in Tumut and while I wasn't sure how I would go with the shared bathrooms at the Oriental it didn't end up being an issue. This is an old-style hotel with rooms available above the pub -which has a banging play list! The room was small but enough for one person and despite being mid-winter it was warm and comfortable. I had dinner at the bar downstairs and the food was good. I'd stay there again.
There was a fire alarm beeping somewhere in the property which they silenced early in the evening when I arrived but was back beeping again in the morning - it didn't stop me sleeping. Like many hotel mattresses it could have been flipped because one side was definitely more sloping than the other.
CHDas Zimmer war recht günstig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend
Wir haben übersehen, dass das Zimmer über kein eigenes WC/Dusche verfügt. Die beiden Badezimmer im Flur waren jedoch modern und top ausgerüstet. Wir würden jedoch dieses Zimmer nicht ein zweites Mal wählen.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable. Worst sleep we had on our 11 day trip away. Noisy position on main road with logger trucks driving padt from around 5am. Patched old carpet in room which was a tripping hazzard.
