Hello, I just want to let everyone know that I highly recommend Sunset Motel. It’s a very lovely motel, everything better than expected. It has more of the HOTEL feel as the accommodations and communication were splendid. The front desk was so warm. The area is beautiful too. Awesome view of the lake! Highly recommended!

I was initially drawn to this place because the price was right and the view was perfect. On our first night there we ran into an issue with the room next door. I reached out to the owners and they did not hesitate to correct it. I appreciated that. They are in the middle of doing lots of updates and it is looking good. The best part was the bed and pillows were great. That is always one of the most important parts of a hotel stay.
Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There really wasn’t enough parking space.
What a charming, quaint property!!!! It was like stepping back in time, but with upgrades to keep things fresh and clean. Loved the vuew of the Mississippi River, the comfy beds, and the retro fridge and microwave! The proprietor was present whenever we needed him, and very attentive and personable. We would definitely recommend the Sunset Motel! One note: if anyone in your party finds climbing stairs a challenge, make sure your accommodations are not on the second level.
Great little motel. It is very easy to check yourself in. The rooms are decoràted with a retro design. Great look Comfy beds.
We had a great stay but arrived late after a wedding and the room was freezing! I think we got imthe heat to work after about a half hour, but it wasn't super user friendly. I wore pants to bed. But we stayed in room #24 and it was super cute and newly remodelled! Great views, easy check-in and good stay overall.
The check-in process could have been more informative. We were a little worried that we didnt get much info until the morning of check-in. The room was very clean and nicely updated. The room had a fridge and a microwave which we were not expecting. Exceptional view of the water. We would stay here again.
