Grade 2 Listed Converted Church, Within 750yrds to Southsea Beach

Great location really beautiful property well maintained and equipped lovely clean comfortable beds had a fabulous stay

Main road is a little noise but close internal doors and it’s quiet not a criticism as you can’t change location which is perfect anyway

Quirky conversion, nice furnishings and some nice touches with the coffee machine, Netflix, towels, etc. Video of how to find the keys etc was helpful. Generally our stay was fine.

Marketed as “luxury”… Paintwork needs some attention - it’s been touched up on the hall, stairs and landing but now looks really shabby. Downstairs lights flicker constantly in the kitchen and hall. Upstairs master en suite shower screen seal was really dirty. Cupboard where the plates and glasses are kept, smells stale and musty. Upstairs neighbours had a very loud, shouting/screaming argument which wasn’t nice to hear (clearly nothing you can do about this but wasn’t nice to listen to for us or our children). A folder with some general apartment info would be useful - location of good restaurants, shops, visitor attractions, etc.

The rooms are all large, spacious and beautifully decorated. When you walk inside it takes your breath away. The sofas in the lounge area are very comfortable and perfect for watching TV or sitting and reading. We didn't really use the kitchen other than the fridge but all the mod cons are there. Biscuits, teabags and long-life milk were there for you on arrival which was a lovely touch. Also the extra small touches such as a toothbrush & toothpaste on top of the guest towels, an adapter plug plus reading material in every room. The bathrooms were well stocked and the shower/bath gel smelt gorgeous! Plenty of hot water at anytime during the day. The beds were very comfortable and the super king size bed in the master bedroom is a luxury not often found in holiday accommodation. The owners will adjust the beds if you need a different configuration. There a fans in all of the rooms if you need to cool down. Plenty of space in the wardrobes to hang your clothes and hangers are provided. The owners sent us a video about using the key safe for check in and check out which was very helpful and easy to use. They also showed us where the street parking was and offered to sort out a parking permit for the 2 hours that it was needed. As we were out between 4pm & 6pm everyday we didn't need it but thought that was a very kind gesture. Also the owners are genuinely caring people. I initially booked 3 weekends as I wasn't sure which dates our event was on and thought that I'd cancelled two of them. I hadn't done it properly, totally my mistake and the owners wavered my cancellation fee which they weren't obliged to do with such short notice. Not many places would entertain doing that. I can't recommend their property enough. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back again.

Absolutely nothing about the property itself. The only thing that we found is due to its location the bar nearby was quite loud but that was because it was hot sunny weekend and everyone was outside.

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night so it was quite noisy. It didn’t disturb us but guests should be aware there a lots of pubs around and everyone is having fun . It would have been helpful to have a tea towel in the kitchen so pack one in your luggage

Silly things really but no opening window in lounge to let fresh air in but that’s obviously due to it being a listed property and original windows had to stay So not a lot could be done about that apart from maybe air con installed
