"Perfect for visiting Yellowstone"

10.0

These condos are clean and convenient if you are visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Only 20 miles from the west entrance. The staff is helpful and responsive to any needs. I would recommend these units to anyone. The scenery around is beautiful and quiet. A+

"Not recommended"

4.0

Illogically strict on check out policy. I was only 30 minutes lates because we have a small 3 months old and he got fussy. We had to feed him and got late. And I am fined $55 for that. I explained the situation but they did not listen. Appliances are old. Our dishwasher front door cover came off.

"Very Good"

Bardzo dobre wyposażenie kuchni, dostępne akcesoria toaletowe. Dobra lokalizacja, 30 min jazdy do zachodniego wejścia do Yellowstone.

"Ice cold showers, outdated rooms, no A/C, broken appliances and terrible management"

2.0

We checked into the Timbers condo on 7/19/25 into an old out-date room (room 118) that has not been renovated since the 70s it seems. I was okay with the older room if everything worked properly. The first morning, we got up very early to go to the park (before the housekeeping & front desk were open). We awoke to find out that the coffee pot was broken so we had to go buy coffee in town. I sent a text message to the hotel to have the coffee pot replaced while we were out so that we would have coffee for the next morning. Upon arriving back at the room (after housekeeping was gone for the day), we learned that the coffee pot was not changed. I had to bring the old coffee pot to the front desk agent to exchange and wait for her to go to the housekeeping shed to find another one. Well, the new coffee pot lasted until the last day, when again it broke forcing us to buy coffee in town. But more importantly, we had to take ICE COLD showers three mornings during the week! We were placed into a room that had an ancient water heater that was rusted out and was only functioning when the maintenance man reset the thermal safety switch. Upon the first day of freezing showers, I called the front desk and was told that the maintenance man would reset the switch. This worked for a day and then happened again. Another reset and we had another day with hot water. And yet again, this happened on the morning of check out. We informed the maintenance man about the issue again and all he did was laugh at the situation. The thermal switch is a safety device, that is there for a reason. Resetting it daily is very irresponsible. At check out, we informed Angie Illum (Resort General Manager) of all the issues that we had during our stay. To compensate, she did not charge the $35 resort fee and informed us that she would request a refund of the RCI points, exchange fees, and guest fees used to pay for this room. We checked out on 7/26/25 and I still have not had any resolution or refund of the points & fees charged.

"Avoid at all costs."

1.0

The location was convenient in regard to Yellowstone National Park.

The unit had a strong, pervasive odor of urine (resembling cat urine), was outdated, and had several serious maintenance issues: The bathroom door doesn’t close. The oven drawer is broken and hanging off the hinges. The garbage compactor’s foot pedal is broken, requiring it to be held manually. Several patio windows do not function. The toilet leaks. There is no air conditioning in the unit, which was not disclosed online, something that absolutely should have been stated clearly. This experience was not only disappointing, it felt deceptive. We could have chosen a newer, cleaner hotel for half the cost, but selected your property based on misleading photos and descriptions.

"Our visit to Yellowstone was awesome. Would I stay here again or recommend it? Absolutely not!"

5.0

It was clean and served its purpose. Having said that, it was not the unit specified on booking.com. It was on the second floor, smaller and the bathroom set up was different. The reason I chose this booking was the fact that it was shown to be on the ground floor with a bathroom attached to the bedroom. Due to medical reasons, the ground floor was preferred, as navigating the stairs were difficult.

The staff were borderline rude and extremely impersonal. The family, who were checking in ahead of us, were from France, based on the passports l glimpsed in their hands. my husband and I could clearly see that they were having difficulty understanding the directions and check-in information. The check-in lady clearly did not pick up on that or didn’t care. We had difficulty and we speak English. One instruction, was when leaving, to leave your garbage on the corner of the parking lot. But there are signs everywhere that this was Bear country. The receptionist didn’t welcome us, ask where we were coming from or if it was our first trip to Idaho, etc. She just complained that tomorrow was her Friday and she was working 12 hours a day. I’ve had friendlier service from a government agency or at the DMV. Also, the place was in need of maintenance, especially painting and fixing of broken steps. clearly understaffed. Absolutely no resort feeling.
