Element by Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown

⸻ I never thought I’d be posting something like this… My engagement ring from 1890 went missing during our stay at Element Salt Lake City Downtown. I reported it immediately. I called multiple times. I asked for a manager again and again. No one called me back. Had someone taken action the first time I called, the room, vacuums, and trash could have been searched before another guest checked in. That didn’t happen. ✔️ Police report filed ✔️ Calls documented ✔️ Corporate contacted Still no response. This ring is irreplaceable — and the lack of urgency and empathy has been devastating. We travel often and have always trusted Marriott… but this experience has completely shaken that. I’m sharing this because I just want someone to take this seriously and do the right thing.

Would be great to have a gluten free breakfast option, like toast and sweet baking or cereal. Cleaning staff need to refill tea & coffee daily .

Great location. Close to great restaurants and 1 block from the Delta Center. Very clean, nice rooms and a great restaurant. Very inviting atmosphere and the staff is great.

Beautiful and clean hotel and rooms.

The $250 incidental deposit per room for a school group. The manager was nice and lessened the deposit cost.

The staff was courteous and professional. The room was clean and spacious.

Overall, it was an excellent stay. The room, a suite-style, was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, and the in-room climate control allowed me to keep the room cool at night the way I like it. I also liked the provided shampoo and body wash in the shower. The parking garage was very easy to get in and out of, and there was never a shortage of available spaces. The on-premises restaurant, Adelaide, was absolutely fantastic. Not a "hotel restaurant" at all, but rather an excellent restaurant that happens to be in a hotel. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding, and a really nice unexpected touch for a downtown hotel. Really the only three complaints I have were that the water temperature in the shower fluctuated WILDLY back and forth between hot and cold every few seconds - the property really needs to address this issue. Also, nobody at the front desk ever answered the in-room phone, but I was able to reach them on my own phone, so not really a big deal. Lastly, I really would have appreciated a hot tub after long days of skiing (and in fact when I asked the hotel before making a reservation whether they had a hot tub, I was told that they did).
