Hampton Inn West Wichita Goddard

Convenient location. Easy to get to.

First of all, they put us in a room that did not have a curtain and only had the shade that you can see through. Had I known that before going out for the evening, I would have asked for a different room. And they knew it because when I said something about it the next morning, the lady laughed and said oh yeah, it's on order. I didn't think it was funny. Second of all, the night before, I was in the room changing, somebody knocked on the door, and within 2 seconds one of the employees opened the door and let themselves in to my room. He almost caught me changing. He knocked but only waited about 2 seconds before he let himself in. I was not happy about this. Then he asked if I needed one of my towel racks changed and he very obviously had the wrong room. Third, I have stayed there three or four times and the TVs suck. The picture jumps and freezes and they're just terrible.

The hotel was very satisfactory, clean room, nice amenities, great parking, fast Wifi, etc. But what made the visit special was the staff. Shawnda was pleasant, helpful, and SO accommodating. When we arrived, we'd been on the road for a while and she couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, even with things like needing a spoon. Kudos to the team and Shawnda especially, for making our visit wonderful.

Stayed the night here for the Tanganyika zoo next door, and it was a great place to stay for the night. clean sheets, attentive service, breakfast was good. A big plus was the animal cruelty free shower products in the shower because it’s next to a zoo. This just made sense and it shows whoever is in charge here knows whats up!

Everything was very good. The breakfast was average.
