LOGE Alta Crystal

The resort is close to Crystal so that makes it extremely convenient. It is very clean, well kept, and great staff. The pool is wonderful. The only problem this last visit was someone had puked in the hot tub and that wasn’t taken care of during our stay.

Very convenient for skiing. We really enjoyed the fireplace (plenty of firewood free of charge) and the hot tub in the evening. It was a memorable mini vacation and good quality family time. Our room felt very private, we wouldn’t have been aware of any other guests if our room hadn’t overlooked the hot tub.

Promised snow shoe package and tour. This was not the case. basic and comfortable, but non-loft units in need of upgrades. fireplace worked well with effort kitchen was small, dingy and worn. bed was comfortable, heat worked well. Bathroom was fine. Lots of hot water. hot tub was 101 by the time we got there. couldn't get sauna going at all. pool was reported to be nice, but i was too cold to try. very little supplies in store/lodge. Bend LOdge much more special and congenial. Charge for early checkin and coffee pot breakage (due to tiny kitchen) seemed a bit mean. Reasonable driving distance to mountain, Ranier was spectacular.

Great location for skiing Crystal. We stayed in a queen room and it was just ok for the price. Cabinets were beat up, poorly stocked kitchenette, tiny fridge that froze our food. Pool and sauna were appreciated. The cafe is not a restaurant. It is a little shop that sells ramen and a few other items for quick cooking.

I am gutted at leaving such a poor review. The staff were amazing! They were friendly, hard working, and knowledgeable. They were not enough to keep my husband and me there. This is the first time in 20 years of traveling, that we left a campsite, hotel, lodge, etc. before the end of the first night. I don't mind if a place is a bit run down and needs a face lift, which this place does. Unless, you like the vibes of Amityville, then it's great. I don't mind a few bugs coming inside. We are in nature. That's to be expected. I don't want to be in Shelob's lair where I'm trying to live. Living in the PNW, we get used to spiders. However, I know it takes months for certain webs to get as large as they were in the Lodge. It wasn't one or two of them tucked away. No, no... they were everywhere!! We couldn't see out of the base of the skylight because of the webs. The entire staircase was covered in them. Every corner, literally every corner had massive webs and massive spiders. Why? The bathroom was not great. The toilet was filthy. The grease in the kitchen wasn't great. The fireplace was awful. When you're in the mountains camping or at a resort, you expect the fireplaces to have a bit of wear and tear. You expect some smoke in the room. This was a miasma of smoke. For 400 dollars, I expected more. Hopefully the rip off of money will go to refurb the place, which I know is in the works. It's a great location and has the potential to be fantastic. For now...awful.

We had the best stay!! Our room was super with a fire place. Beds were so nice and comfortable! We were able to get the perfect sleep. Spa and hot tub were perfect and there is a heated pool! Staff were super friendly! Oh and they love pets!!! This place is INCREDIBLE!!! 10/10.

The staff were great, the shuttle to the mountain was easy, and the pool/hot tub/sauna were super. DirectTV and internet were great. The lofted unit we rented, however, felt more like a guy's college apartment than what we would expect at this price-point. It wasn't dirty, but things were in rough shape - many kitchen/bath amenities felt garage-sale-esque. The wood-burning stove was not terribly safe to use - didn't vent smoke - although we had the flue open and were encouraged to use it.

As much as I’d love to live the Loge, the standards for cleanliness MUST be improved. Our rooms (both of them) were covered in white nasty dog (cat?!) hair so that we had to find a vacuum and attempt to clean. After 45 minutes of vacuuming we still had to cover the couches with sheets to sit on them and still we’d find random white hairs on us during the day…. Gross. The couches needs replacing. The rug needs a non slip mat under it- and to be replaced. If cleanliness standards can’t be kept (or even if they can) pet and “pet-free” rooms should be kept separate. The loge has charm and potential and great location. We never saw a single staff person…. So you’re kind of on your own- so when the room is gross, you’re kind of stuck. Not great.
