AZADE Chania

Amazing staff and cleanliness. I loved how eco-friendly everything was and if you need any assistance or just to have a conversation, this is the place to stay. Breakfast being included was a bonus and you’re in the heart of Chania old town, which is very walkable and lovely to explore.

The Azade Chania was the perfect choice for us. If you're reading this, you've read the other reviews as well. They're all true. This recently completed, historical gem is perfectly located for shopping and dining. Would highly recommend. Book early.

We booked this last minute as we had finished a long week of hiking on the South coast of Crete and wanted a change of scenery. We were delighted to have got a last minute booking as we had a faultless and exceptional stay at the superb Azade Boutique Hotel. From the welcome from Xanthos to the superbly appointed rooms, and the outstanding breakfast choices which were custom cooked for each individual with a variety of fresh a la carte ingredients, it was sad to leave. The rooms felt very private, the bathroom and living space were exceptional, with satellite TV, air conditioning which was both powerful AND quiet! It was the perfect place to relax and yet, it was right in the heart of the old town, minutes away from shops and restaurants and harbour. We will be back for sure!

Nothing not to like. You have to walk a few minutes from the edge of town after a taxi transfer on cobbled streets to get to the hotel as no cars can come into the narrow streets, but that is nothing to do with the hotel.

Awesome hotel in the heart of the tourist area and r8ght on the harbours edge, plenty of food and restaurants around.

This place is an absolute gem and should be your #1 booking choice in Chania. Spacious comfortable rooms, a super clean facility and a terrific location (a 3 minute walk to a great jazz club and the best ice cream in Crete), a short walk to all the best restaurants and above the heavy congestion. But what sets this place apart is the stellar level of hospitality - we stay all over the world and rarely give reviews - this place could give a master class in hospitality. Easily one of the best choices you can make for lodging in Chania.

The Azade is superb in every way. The rooms are beautifully (very large) and elegant. The service and staff are truly extraordinary and their commitment to the guest experience is unrivaled. A luxury hotel and one of my most memorable hotel experiences in my 62 years of traveling. You MUST stay here.

This hotel was fabulous! Everything about it - the location, room, cleanliness, breakfast, amenities were all exceptional! However, it was the staff, especially Iro, Artemis, and Xanthos that added so much to my wonderful experience - they were incredibly kind and extremely helpful! I would highly recommend this hotel and am looking forward to a return visit!

We loved our stay in October 2024. This property had the most zen feeling I've ever experienced. If you're looking for a quiet place to return to after a busy day, this is a great choice. Good location for fun.

Excellent location and design . Very spacious

It's in a wonderful and quiet location in the Old City, just uphil from the Venetian Port, very close to where the taxi/bus dropps you off, surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants. It's a a 18th century building, exquisitely preserved and ambiently decorated in the inside. Our two bedroom suite had a view in the inner yard and was very spacious. The rroms in the upper floor seem to have a view to the Venitian Port. The staff was very friendly, yet quite discrete. The breakfast was a wonderful introduction to the essance of Crete! We really enjoyed our time there, would go back any minute!
