The pool was a bonus

The lack of decent air conditioning in all communal areas. The weird room design. The position of the air conditioning which aims cold air on your face as you sleep even with the fan turned off. There was no safe in the room. There was a (thankfully) dead cockroach by our room door before we even got in. There is no soundproofing in the rooms so be prepared to be woken at all hours not just by people in the hallways but also from the street. We were woken up several times during the night by car alarms, a siren and general noise, and we were seven floors up. The windows are not sealed and open wide open with no safety catches. This hotel might look the part but don’t be fooled because even though it’s new, it’s style over substance. There are better hotels for similar money in Phnom Penh.

it was clean and bright. the staff was friendly and overly helpful when we asked for assistance with a sim card activation. the pool was amazing with a bar and drinks and seating area. towels available up there. food was absolutely delicious. breakfast had western and Asian options.

we didn’t find it very close to restaurants or markets. we had to take a tuktuk everywhere

Air con in the room was directed straight at the bed so a bit uncomfortable at night - either too cold or too hot!
