Engenho Hostel

The accommodation was well located. The property manager was very accommodating and friendly. He explained the history of the building and the renovations. We were able to walk everywhere in Lajes do Pico.

We loved everything.

A nightstand was missing on one side of the bed. But otherwise everything was perfect !! I 100% recommend this place. We had a wonderful stay. The best quality

Great location a few hundred meters from sea, well appointed kitchen/dining facilities.

If staying in room 1.2, which is essentially two co-joined rooms each with ensuite bathroom, (one with a double bed and one with a high single box bed and 2 bunk beds), you have to pass through the double room to access the triple room. Triple room quite cramped. Also noise from downstairs kitchen/lounge transfers upstairs as there is no door to separate it from the rest of the building. In the kitchen diner there is only one dining table with 4 chairs (plus other easy chairs) so not enough space if everyone wants to eat together. We had to wait for other guests to finish their meal before we could cook/eat.

Très joli. Propre aussi. Les décos sont sympas. Nous avons été chanceux et avions les lieux pour nous seuls. Très pratique la petite cuisine!

Il fait un peu chaud dans les chambres avec l’humidité et les petites fenêtres - une climatisation serait souhaitable, mais ce n’est rien de dramatique non plus.
