Engenho Hostel

Very nice accommodation :) Lajes do Pico is a nice town with a good atmosphere, it reminds roadtrip along the coast in Oregon

It’s location is excellent. One can see the ocean from the window & can walk the piers along the ocean just down a block.

The mattress on the bed is thin and uncomfortable.

Belle chambre lumineuse avec bonne literie. Piètre insonorisation de la paroi entre chambres. Grande salle commune avec café à disposition, possibilité de cuisiner. Proche des restaurants et parking proche. Accueil chaleureux de Barbara qui a été soucieuse de notre confort.

On first glance it looked clean, but on further inspection it wasn’t at all. Mold in the bathtub and sink, hairs that weren’t ours. It needs a real good clean. Sounds from our neighbours were like they were inside our room. You can literally hear every word or cough. The location is perfectly fine on the other hand. Everything in Lajes within walking distance.

the position and the room!

The hotel is super clean and you have everything you need. The rooms are big and have enough space and a nice and new bathroom. The kitchen is big and clean and you can get coffee or water, you don’t have to buy it yourself. Location is good for excursions.

We could hear literally every word our neighbors said and they weren’t loud. The rooms aren’t isolated. That was a bit uncomfortable and made us sleep bad
