The Beetroot

The host Paul was very welcoming, chatty and passionate about his hotel. The room was clean and finished to a very high standard. Finishing touches were a lovely selection of specialist teas sourced from a local company in Margate. Our room had the usual kettle and also a coffee maker. Comfortable bed, tv and shower room. The courtyard was lovely to sit in a pond with Carp, small waterfall and lovely planting. Located near to the beach in the old part of town, a little quieter than the rest of Margate, which was lovely. 10-15 minute walk from the train station. 10mins walk to Dreamland for the concert venue.

The location was excellent, spotlessly clean and well designed/ decorated rooms with a little outside courtyard, lovely garden. Host was available and helpful though discreet 10/10- really enjoyed our stay in Margate, highly recommended!

We loved it, only suggestion to improve it for us would have been a mini fridge in the room for drinks/ snacks but lots of food places nearby.

Amazing location, very sensual, gorgeous courtyard and my mother and I both love plants, and the whole room and courtyard were full of beautiful well kept plants, all shapes and sizes, fun to play with the jukebox, loved the local shower wash and soap, made from seaweed, excellent shower and comfortable bed.

Absolutely gorgeous place. It is right in the center of Margate, yet blissfully peaceful, so it feels like an oasis. The room was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you might ever need. It was also superbly clean. There is a nice garden for you to relax in and a pond with koi fish. And the owner is very lovely.

It is worth noting that the split level studio has a very steep and narrow staircase, so I would not recommend it to people with limited mobility. For me personally, the bathroom in the cellar with all-black decoration felt a little bit depressing.
