The Laurel Oak Inn Bed and Breakfast

The best stay we have ever experienced at a B&B! From the warm welcome by Nan and Body to the delicious made with love breakfsst that we enjoyed every morning. It was truly our home away from home and we look forward to our next visit!

The owners went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect and it was. Highly recommend. We were there did the UF graduation. Breakfast was delicious each morning. Nan made it a point to ask what time we wanted breakfast and ask if we had any preferences or restrictions. Room was very clean and well kept.

I totally enjoyed my stay here! In fact so much that I didn’t leave the premises except for meals out with my son. The breakfasts and coffee are excellent. Anything one needs Nan is on it. Nan and Dave’s attention to detail is evident throughout the Inn. Super comfy bed!! The front porch swing was my ultimate hangout with a book. Thanks for a fantastic relaxing stay♥️👍

We loved this bed and breakfast! The surroundings inside and outside were sumptuous, and the attention to detail impeccable. Excellent restaurants are within walking distance, and after a pleasant walk back to the Inn, we relaxed in the sitting room with a glass of wine before retiring to a restful nights sleep in the beautifully furnished and decorated Chestnut room. We both enjoyed Nan's scrumptious breakfasts and warm hospitality. I purchased one of their mugs as a daily reminder our relaxing stay here. This location is also convenient to the nearby Payne's Prairie Preserve, springs, a natural history museum and other areas that are awesome for naturalists.

I have been a guest at the Laurel Oak many times. I now live nearby so I treated my parents to a weekend stay when they visited me this last time. It has been decades since their last BnB experience and they weren’t quite sure what to expect but Nan and Dave (and Bodie!) made them feel so welcome and at home. I am beyond grateful for their hospitality and care. I joined them for breakfast both mornings they were there and can confirm that these were the best BnB breakfasts of all the places I've stayed. My parents have simpler tastes but had no problem cleaning their plates. My dad enjoyed the Opus coffee they serve so much that he bought a bag to take home. :) My parents and I lingered long after our breakfast was done, just admiring the adornments. The dark wood antique furniture is stunning. We also spent time in the equally beautiful living room. It was nice and quiet for reading. They also have shelves with books and games/puzzles if you need a rainy day activity!

Me and my husband came for the weekend and had the most Amazing experience at the Inn! From start to finish we felt like we were home. Nan and Dav e were wonderful and we loved their dog Bodie and porch kitty Gibbs! Our room had the most comfy bed, softest linens and my favorite bath products! We woke to the smell of fresh coffee brewing, bacon and french toast baking in the oven. Nan made us a delcious breakfast before we headed out to our next adventure. The porch is a lovely spot to sit with a beverage and bird watch. As an added bonus, we learned that Tom Petty lived in this house years ago! We will definetly be back soon!! XO

Had a quick weekend visit during a parent event weekend for my daughter at UF. The Laurel Oak was like a home away from home. We had the luxury experience of staying at a hotel but with the added bonus of feeling like we were at home. Waking up in the morning and smelling breakfast being cooked downstairs (and knowing I wasn't responsible for prep or cleaning) was a wonderful treat. The room was perfect! Everything was clean and well-appointed. The living room and social spaces were cozy and comfortable. It was centrally located for campus events and in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely come back!

What a find! We are so glad we stayed at this historical bed and breakfast where we were so graciously welcomed. The home is stunning with beautiful bedroom suites and private bathrooms all with lots of amenities. The breakfasts are outstanding fresh and savory all hand made by hostess Nan and husband Dave. You leave their feeling like you’re leaving a goods friends home. We will be back! ❤️

My husband and I were traveling and wanted to try a Bed and Breakfast experience. We were beyond satisfied with our stay at the Laurel Oak Inn Bed and Breakfast. Nan and Dave made us feel like we were visiting dear friends. They were so accommodating alllowing us to check in early and shared things to do in the area. The B&B and decor is very nice. Nan and Dave made our stay vey enjoyable and the entire experience was wonderful!
