Avilla Cave Hotel

The owner/manager, Metin, was excellent. Very good people skills and assisted us in every way to help us enjoy our visit.

We mistakenly had a 4am wake up call for a hot air balloon.

Top Lage am Hang in Göreme, direkt unterhalb eines Aussichtspunkts, der zudem für Hotelgäste kostenlos ist. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber, mehrere Dachterrassen mit toller Aussicht gibt es auch. Das Frühstück ist das beste, was wir während unseres gesamten Türkeiaufenthalts hatten. Das Highlight am gesamten Aufenthalt ist aber definitiv das Personal und insbesondere der Gastgeber Metin, ein wahnsinnig herzlicher, ehrlich interessierter und warmherziger Mensch, mit dem man sich super unterhalten kann. Danke Metin für die tolle Zeit und für die völlig reibungslose Organisation der Ballonfahrt, der Greentour und des Flughafentransfers :) Was ein bisschen gestört hat, aber definitiv nicht zu Lasten der Unterkunft geht: Manche Hotelgäste vergessen leider, dass es relativ hellhörig ist, wenn sie nachts für die Ballonfahrt die Unterkunft verlassen und zurückkommen, sodass es in einer Nacht ziemlich laut war und wir mehrfach geweckt wurden.

Owner was very kind. The hotel is close to sunset point, and the access is free for the guests. Breakfast is good, particularly fried eggplant with yogurt.

From check in to check out, Metin made our stay one for the books! He is so kind, so informed and just overall so helpful. He booked numerous excursions for us (even prior to check in) and was so on top of rescheduling any time things were canceled. He remained accessible and responsive throughout the entirety of our stay and recommended some wonderful restaurants while we were there. The hotel itself is lovely. Our room was gorgeous and so memorable. Very comfortable and exactly as advertised. The location was ideal as well. Elevated high and away from the crowded "downtown" but a convenient 6-7 minute walk from all restaurants, bars, shops. Also, the breakfast is expansive, with so many different option. You can really tell they take such pride in their work and truly care about their guests' experiences. I have already started recommending Avilla to friends and family.
