Stone Court House

Amazing period property with a rich history and a very warm and comfortable ambiance, thick carpets and I felt my every need catered for. You will feel cosseted. The owner was warm and friendly without being intrusive. I ended up booking in for two nights and was upgraded to a wonderful room I would book again in a heartbeat. I would definitely return and recommend this delightful accommodation!

Be prepared it is right on a main road so you will get road noise, but my room was right at the front and the noise did not bother me. The plus point is it is just a few minutes walk to all of Maidstone’s amenities (so basically not a negative).

Beautiful building, wonderful rooms to walk into on entry downstairs. Loved the history - would have loved more, if possible. Room decor was very pleasant.

Mattress could have been a bit higher but all was absolutely fine otherwise. The shoe rule is a bit strange but slippers on entrance might have been helpful.

All of it. A fabulous house created with so much love by the owners. So many historical goodies and such a calm space. I was in need of a haven and absolutely found it. A jewel of Maidstone.

I stayed in December 2025 and the christmassy cosy vibe was spot on. Gorgeous tree in reception with choral music playing, low lighting. Room was perfect, large soft towels, easy to use stand alone bath, hot water immediately. Pillows and bed very comfortable and the heating was spot on. Never felt chilly. Nice to have tea and coffee in the rooms and there was plentiful supply of water in glass bottles in a fridge at the bottom of the stairs. Lovely to return after a work event and a bit of Christmas shopping and chill in one of the many living rooms downstairs. Check in and check out was simple. Met the owner Saban as I was leaving, lovely chap. He also messaged restaurant recommendations and checked how the stay was going. Desk in the room was great to get some work done and the TV worked easily, logged into Netflix without any trouble. Such a hidden gem!

Really nice and friendly staff who made us feel incredibly welcome. The room an property is lovely and characterful and feels incredibly homely. I would definitely return.

We had a lovely stay at Stone Court House Hotel hosted by Saban and Belinda. The property is warm, cosy, and beautifully maintained, with so much character throughout. Being a Grade II listed building, it has a real sense of history, but everything inside feels so comfortable and homely. The interior is especially charming, with so many original features that make it feel unique and welcoming. The rooms were well prepared and had everything we needed, including thoughtful touches like milk, tea, and coffee supplies. Downstairs there are Nespresso machines available, which was a great extra, along with a pleasant dining area where you can sit and eat comfortably. Overall, the hotel feels feels very homely and very well looked after, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. A great place to stay if you’re looking for comfort, character, and a cosy setting in Maidstone. We would happily stay again and look forward to booking soon.
