This is a beautiful little gem of a place in the heart of Maidstone...hosts were friendly and welcoming.

No hassle out of hours check in, after a very last minute booking. Very nice communal areas, great bathroom and powerful hot shower.

Pillows unusable due to feather quills that poked through the cases. Had trouble sleeping due to noise from the road, with windows that did not seal fully and a very thin curtain that was barely big enough to cover the window.

What not to like? The place is absolutely stunning. From the moment walking through the front door, through the lobby, and up to my room, was jaw-dropping. So much space, everything immaculate and comfortable. Even the shower was easy to use! With regards to booking, I sometimes find self check-in a bit daunting, as you never know what to expect with fiddly buttons and keys and doors to use etc etc. But here, everything was simple, and all explained in simple terms from the host. Even I couldn't go wrong. I had a quick google of the property, the history of it is incredible and to read what the current owners have done since taking over they should be very proud of what they have achieved. Do yourself a favour, if you ever get the chance to stay here, please do, you will not be disappointed.
