"Bijzonder en authentiek, fijn verblijf"

Bijzonder om terug te gaan in de tijd. Mooi familie huis en zeer sfeervol ingericht.

Lag aan een iets te drukke weg zodat met ramen open slapen minder fijn was

Lovely historic building which has been restored by the owners, but not over-restored. It is situated on a busy main road, but there is secondary glazing and we were not bothered by noise. Parking is 50m away, but there is skill at finding your way into the Mall car park, accessible only from one direction. The owner is charming and friendly and very helpful. The room price is very reasonable. Maidstone is a genuine, unpretentious Kentish town with a good selection of restaurants and pubs. Prices are reasonable by South of England standards. Everything is walking distance from the hotel. The hotel rooms are spacious, simply furnished, clean and fresh. Coffee/tea is constantly available downstairs.

Matress on the bed a bit hard for me. Can't open the windows.

"Stunning Georgian building"

8.0

As a history fanatic I LOVED this building. I have lived in Maidstone for 11 years and had no idea there was a guest house right down the road! We stayed for one night to get away from the kids, and walked down from where we live, as it was only a 20 minute walk, but you can park at the mall and it’s relatively reasonable priced. The location is not the best as it’s a very busy road, but walking in the front doors you would not think lower stone street is where you are! As I said I’m a history fanatic and read up on the extensive work the owners put into this property, using old and of the time materials, really warmed my heart, as it’s more often than not, people use more modern materials to renovate old buildings. I loved everything about the house, it’s truly stunning and I think you’ve done a superb job decorating with so much detail. Bravo. We didn’t have much choice of rooms as I booked literally on the day, so we stayed in room 5 on the top floor, it was a beautiful room unfortunately the bed was a little hard and uncomfortable so we did wake up a few times through the night. I would definitely stay again as I’d love to try the other rooms.

Bed was a little hard

"Luxury Manor House ."

10.0

Loved the styling and old school feel. Very old building 700 years old I believe.. And I’m glad it feels that way. Me and my partner had a lovely time. Classic bedroom with a modern bathroom was a nice touch. Very clean also!!

Nothing wrong with the property at all, next to a very busy main road, and check out felt a little early. But I completely understand the rooms need to be cleaned etc.
