Stone Court House

Beautiful place, very clean and great location

I had the pleasure of staying at the Stone Court House for a single night but I wish it had been longer! The original structure of the hotel is 700 years old and has been incredibly well maintained and extended. It is more central than I was expecting, which was ideal for me as I had no car. I was fortunate to stay in The Judge Rigby room, and could not have been happier. The room, including ensuite, was stylish. large, very comfortable and immaculately presented. It had everything you could want: iron, toiletries, tea, coffee and tasty biscuits! However, the standouts for me were the wooden beams of the roof, the freestanding clawfoot bath and the remarkably comfortable bed. The comms before arrival from the owners, Saban and Belinda May, were welcoming and very informative, including details on how to access the hotel & room, and car parking (if required). I wish I could have stayed longer … particularly to enjoy the stately, old-world look & feel of the reception rooms … but will return in the future! I would highly recommend the Stone Court House for anyone seeking comfortable, old-world accommodation in the heart of Maidstone.

Simple to book in, very comfortable bed, quiet, good size room, everything worked as expected, very happy with my choice.

Not much really. For a double bed it was very small, perfect for me, but if their was two it would of been too small.

Fabulous historical building and decor, a treat for those who like that kind of vibe 🤩 very peaceful, we didn’t see a soul when using communal areas. Very clean and maintained to high standard.

The only suggestion I’d make is a better lighting near bathroom or bedroom mirror should there be a need to put makeup on or do your hair- it is a bit too dim at the moment. Also, for those who like to use footwear around the house- make sure you bring your slippers with you, as you’re not allowed to wear shoes inside the building!

Hotel interior is beautiful. Everything is totally spotless and very high quality. Bed was amazing, bath was great. Generous tea and coffee and milk provided. Totally beats modern hotels hand down for decor and character. Totally exceeded my expectations.

I asked for a quiet room but the traffic noise was very invasive and during the evening I left my room for some peace. From 5 .15 am I was aware of the traffic noise. I would love to try an internal room away from the traffic noise, and would like to return but would not want to stay in room 5 again because of the noise. I feel sorry for the hosts as this is not their fault and wish them the best. I have got sensitive hearing so others may not be bothered by the traffic noise, and ear plugs were provided, but I don’t like to use these.

Wat een prachtig huis. De eigenaren hebben hier echt een pareltje van gemaakt. Het is heel schoon en heel knus. Parkeren kan vlakbij in de garage en dat kost je £10.50 voor 24 uur. In de gemeenschappelijke ruimte staat een koelkast met water en melk. Het zit tegen het centrum met genoeg restaurants en winkels. Wij hebben heerlijk tapas gegeten bij La Taverna ( ook een aanrader) Bedankt voor jullie gastvrijheid in jullie geweldige huis. Kind regards Arno & Brenda

Wij hadden kamer 5 met een prachtig bad, en douchen kan alleen met de douche in de hand. Dit is wat lastiger.
