close to bus terminal and very secure

I stayed here twice. Location was amazing if you have to use long distance buses. It is only 2 minutes by walking from bus terminal to hostal. My stay would not have had this great without younger lady, around 25 years old. She was Rayen or Hayen? She was excellent and spoke English well. She was all the time in good mood and happy to help. Older lady Marta was also pretty friendly but I do not understand how people working in reception can't spoke even words like check-out or breakfast in English. She had to use Google Translator to explain about check-out time or if I want to have breakfast etc. etc. Lady working in breakfast was friendly and customer servant. She spoke a bit English. When I sent messages with someone through Booking.com, those messages were replied quickly and with good English.

I chose this hostal because it had 24 hour reception, was close to the bus station and I was arriving late. My room was extremely small - no room even to open my case, and its only window opened onto an internal corridor. It was adequate as a bed for the night but I would not recommend staying longer.

For a longer stay in Arica, you would want to be nearer the coast and the town centre.
