Great location, but that is it, front door is locked, need to buzz in, but after hours, if you go out and no one at front desk, then you have to wait for some adolescent looking young person, (staff) to finally show up and let you in, in case you forget your card.
Restaurant in front, fantastic food and coffee, completely separate owner from the office, thank GOD!!
''Kids'' running the staff reception front desk, need someone who speaks English, even broken, instead of face pinned on their cell phone., probably 16 year old kids during after hours,,,
La Sabana supposed to be safe, other hotels are 4X the price!!, talk about a tourist trap!!!, no choice since this was the cheapest,
and the view was ok, lots of traffic whizzing by, so much for speed bumps, could use more, security at night would be present, but then, $$$$ mentality, did not see any around, only at the grocery store if your brave enough to walk there at night!!
Noise party next door, 12 midnight, waited 2-3 hours for it to stop, when I finally found someone, no one at front desk,
dope smell outside,
The shower splashed water all over the place, had to use towels to pick up water, then had to ask staff for more towels, since room had only 2 towels, no extras,
Cable TV did not work, asked staff, they did not know, only a friend of the staff came into the room and actually found the issue, staff could not reprogram, communication problem, could not talk to staff, no English speaking at all, my Spanish is limited.
You would think being downtown in a tourist area, during high season, they would be bilingual, even limited English, not expecting university level English, even grade 3 level English would suffice and my grade 3 Spanish, would suffice, regarding towels, cable tv, noise issues, water issues, etc,, It would be fun for both!!, but did not happen,
