"It was not a nice experience"

The place felt poorly maintained and the staff came across as unprofessional. We were told they only accepted cash, which was inconvenient. The pool was closed for maintenance during peak summer season, and our room had stained sheets. Overall, we were disappointed and ended up leaving the facilities earlier than planned.

Andrew the manager was exceptionally helpful. A great guide of things to do and see in Cooktown and some of the outlying Cape York areas. Property was kept clean.

Property is a bit dated. Needs an update. Pool was not operational during hot weather and not many swimming options with nearest being distant waterfalls. Andrew had organised repairs.

Friendly owner/manager

I was expecting it to be more like a motel not a shared bathroom accommodation this made it rather expensive when you need to go to a shared bathroom which was not very nice.
