I chose this aprtment because it was advertised as particularly suitable for more elderly people. My wife and I are 73/74. It was most UNsuitable. The booking was for mid September not the height of summer. We arrived about 7.30pm. My wife tripped up over the long ramp which stuck out into the designated parking area. This unnerved her and made it difficult for her going up and down it for the next 5 days. I had great difficulty in unlocking and then locking the front door (the whole lock was replaced by the owners on the following Wed) It soon became apparent that there was no hot water even though the immersion heater was turned on. This continued the whole week. It turns out the owners knew about this beforehand. The house heating system for the apartment didn't work properly, even after supposedly attended to by the owners on Wed. We loved going out walking but in mid Sept needed to come back to a warm apartment. There was no ventilation in the bathroom as the only window was out of reach beyond the bath. For elderly people the sofa in the lounge area was most uncomfortable. As was the position of the TV. A broken step leading out to the small patio meant it was unusable and we couldn't leave the doors open for fresh air for fear of my wife stepping on it. The toilet had a very flimsy and unstable seat. The owners admitted knowing about these conditions and do have plans for remedying them in the future .. but we won't be here then. This apartment, in it's present condition, should not have been on the market. It would make a lovely place because of it's central location, and being all on one level, but needs a lot of work doing on it. We have stayed in 5 different apartments in this area but would NOT recomend this one to anyone.
