Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya - An Adults Only All Inclusive

Our experience at this hotel was amazing. The entire hotel and rooms are immaculately clean and well looked after as well as being beautiful. The staff really made this trip for us, there isn’t enough they can do for you. Everyone is so friendly and fun. Special shout outs to our house keeper Leo who kept our room spotless our entire 2 week stay. Laura in the landshark who made every evening fantastic and is an absolute sweetheart! Marcelo in the boathouse at breakfast kept the mimosas flowing and couldn’t do enough for us. Carmen and all the lovely ladies in Joe merchants who made amazing coffees and were always happy to help/advise in anyway and always with a smile! Our waiter around the pool who unfortunately I cannot remember his name (jet lag is a b****) but young/tall around the main pool who taught us about charro negros and kept the drinks coming all day every day! The entire entertainment staff who had us laughing all day (especially Mariel and Angel). With the food we found the majority to be great. Breakfast in both the boathouse and room service was fantastic. Lunch at either landshark or licence to chill was great. The only time we ever struggled was at dinner but it was more in the Italian and steakhouse as we found the food was made for the American palate so could at times be slightly too salty/sweet and very rich but at no time was anything not enjoyable or bad. Overall we can say this is the best holiday we have had so far, was a great intro the Mexico for us as we fell in love with the area and the people. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Best resort I have ever been to, the food was high quality and burn your mouth hot! The drinks were strong, pools, restaurants were spotless! Carlos at the front desk was an amazing help!

Had a great time. Weather was perfect. The entire staff (especially Karen and Joaquin personal butlers) were exceptional. The resort was extremely clean and food was very good.

Wonderful experience and what a great vibe coming from Angel and Carlos!!!! The duo make for a great time also the bartenders Ivan and Andres by the pool were very nice!!!

Started ok. The restaraunts were ok. The bartenders were inconsistent with the drinks. My 1st drink was a tequila sunrise. It tasted like rubbing alcohol. I felt like the room was spinning after 1/2 of a drink. They water down the liquor with methanol. Jack Daniel’s came out yellow instead of dark caramel. Baileys poured like water instead of a creamy liquor. Anything corked or on tap was fine. We broke down and went to the liquor store to buy our liquor for the week. Even though we paid for all inclusive. Multiple bug bites on the 4 of us all week. Cockroaches inside and outside the rooms. The air-conditioning was screwed up in the one room and it was condensation all over the floor and the interior door, even though they tried to fix it. They never offered to change rooms. It felt like we were in a retirement home. This is the big one! Their website shows a gorgeous beach and we had nothing but muddy water and black salt and seaweed the whole entire week up and down the coastline. It smelled like sewage!

So far very unimpressed. Unfriendly check in. No cocktail waiting. Hard to communicate with staff. Hungry and they pointed me in the direction of a restaurant for tacos and there isn’t even tacos on the menu. Stood waiting for someone to acknowledge and seat me for about 5 minutes. Still waiting for my food after 30 minutes.

Went here with my best friend & had an amazing time. The staff goes above & beyond to make your stay enjoyable! The resort is very clean & small & beautiful. A few shout outs to some made our stay extra special; Our butlers - Karen R. & Joaquin…anything we needed they were there ❤️ Angelia our concierge was very attentive. Waiters: Erick, Marcelo & Gabino @ The Boathouse, Andi @ Frank & Lola’s, Angel & JWB Steakhouse, all the staff @ Landshark… you were all outstanding! Reyes our pool waiter always made sure our drinks were full & cold 🍹Gibron @ Salted Rim, wow what a mixologist you are & loved the Mocha Martinis…yum! Last but not least, Ana at St. Somewhere spa provided the best relaxing massage! Thank you all for making our trip so memorable. Can’t wait to come back! See you again soon Feb. 2026 😎🍹

Resort is very nice. Gardens and grounds beautiful. Special shout out to our amazing butlers Karen and Joaquin they made everything special. Only disappointment was no beach however we made the best of it with all the pool activities. Rooms very clean.

Had a salsa class with Angel & Quetzel from the entertainment team and it’s amazing. It was fun for a first time dancer. They were amazing and the Karoake was awesome!! Thanks for making it so fun guys!
