Muskoka Waterfront Retreat

This location was absolutely gorgeous. Couples, Solo, or with friends it doesn’t matter! If you need a reset with a gorgeous view and cozy vibes this is your spot! We didn’t need to speak to anyone the whole trip as the only thing we needed was more firewood and the rack was basically outside our door so we just grabbed it ourselves which was a plus! It felt like we had the place to ourselves! If you need to take a break from the chaotic world this is the place! Bring a flashlight as it get SO dark and since it is fall it happens so early, there is a deck across the street check it out for the perfect star gazing experience! If you are expecting luxury this might not be for you but if you are wanting the camping/nature vibes with the comfort and luxury of sleeping indoors this is definitely the place! I came back fully rested and ready to take out the next challenges the kids bring me with a fresh mindset!

Not that any of this was an issue because we are low key - but points I made for us to bring next time I’ll share - Bring an extra pillow if you need more then one to sleep, they offer one per person. If you like a big cup of coffee in the morning you should bring your own as we found theirs the size of typical hotel mugs - they did provide keurig pods! If you plan to use the indoor fire place bring a humidifier - we didn’t even think about that. Also I would suggest bigger towels - but I bring my own bath sheet towels everywhere because I don’t find towels to ever be as comfy and big as the ones from home :)

Scenery, activities and the overall peaceful environment

The fact that they sent me an email to leave a Google review and I will get a 15% discount on the next stay and once I did, I didn’t get what was promised :(

Beautiful waterfront location with peaceful surroundings. Room was clean and decent. Being by the water made for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Also like that they had canoes and other stuff there for use by guests.

Communication prior to our stay was poor. We were told there might be a discount for an extra night, but we never got clear details despite multiple attempts to ask. Requests for a crib and high chair were not answered. The bed was creaky and uncomfortable, and the pillows weren’t fluffy. Towels were rough and not very soft. It was challenging to manage the canoes and water activities ourselves with a baby - it would be nice if someone were on site to help. Price felt high considering the room didn’t have any special features.

Locatie met uitzicht over het meer is fantastisch. Openbare vuurkorf is super gezellig om nog langer buiten te genieten. Er ligt hout klaar om zelf een vuurtje te maken. Nieuwsgierige eekhoorns in de ochtend zorgen voor een mooi entertainment. In het hoofdgebouw zijn genoeg spellen en een pooltafel aanwezig om te recreëren als het weer wat slechter is. Elk huisje heeft een eigen barbecue.

Toiletten zijn vaak verstopt. In het huisje zijn weinig pannen aanwezig om fatsoenlijk te koken. Badkamer en keuken zijn wat verouderd. Maar desalniettemin prima om een paar dagen te verblijven.

Die Lage ist top!

Völlig lieblos ausgestattet, in Teilen heruntergekommen. Die Anlage scheint ihre besten Zeiten hinter sich zu haben. Schade eigentlich, denn das Potential ist riesig.
