We were not told that no one would be there after 10, we did try and phone to say we will be leaving the wedding later than we thought, could not get hold of anyone. Got to the B&B, had a hard time finding out how to get in the building, didn't know which room was ours as we couldn't find anyone or get hold of someone. The room we took that was the only suitable one available, smelled bad, light in bathroom didn't work and the pipes made a nice all night long, so we couldn't sleep.

A the whole place was a bit tired overall no heating that worked in bathroom

The location was good, apart from the main road noise. The village was very picturesque.

On arrival were told we had to pay, but we'd already paid booking.com.. we were then told of our room, which was wrong, then put into a different room. There was no hot water, no cup and no coffee. The central heating wasn't working,we were told it would be on later..it wasn't. We were then told at 6pm to move to another room. We were then told to come down for our evening meal by 7pm because the chef wanted to go home early. We rushed a bath each and quickly got ready to go to dinner. Some of the menu wasn't available and product had gone off. We also had a awful nights sleep because of the road noise. At breakfast the manager told us he'd cancelled our booking with b.com saying we'd cancelled due to family illness, which was not correct. We told him of issues and he just ignored me.

We didn’t stay as the chef didn’t come to work so there was no restaurant. Person working took my details for a refund but I’ve heard nothing since, despite chasing several times. This is very very poor service and I’m very disappointed.

The entry info provided was incorrect, as the owner was way on holiday and the two numbers provided weren't answered. We only gained entry to the property with coincidental help from another pub, who provided a third private contact number. The property wasn't secure and there was no facility for hot drinks or any breakfast available. It felt damp and musty. Not the level of service expected.

Gorgeous old building. Massive car park. Nice views. Dog friendly (£10).

Cold- no heating at all. Food ok. No desserts. Obviously staff wanted to shut shop. Very basic room, uncomfortable bed. Staff not at all hospitable. Noisy road.

Staff were lovely

Very dusty, TV speakers were knackered, was quite cold and the road noise was excessive. Appreciate it's an old building though so only so much can be done.

Clean towels and linen

Approach to room was a building site. Odd smell in room. Room was dirty. Tiny travel kettle and no creamer for coffee. No hot water in taps and no heating. Checked in and had to pop out fairly sharpish (mentioned lack of heat but hadnt noticed lack of heated water from taps; person at bar promised to do something about heating) Returned late; no one available to mention the issues to. No one available sunday or monday morning to complain to. Frankly; give it a miss until someone who cares takes over. Very poor indeed.
