Staff need further training, booked breakfast on last day but did not get, evening bar staff on first night needs to learn about customer service.although Emma very apologetic for the mix up about breakfast

Clean comfortable bed and bathroom

Several courses not available on the menu. Toilets in the bar were disgusting, very few comfortable seats in the bar.

The food is spectacular, the staff are wonderful, the building is old and charming.

Pleasant and helpful staff

Worn carpet, entranceway and corridor to room gives bad first impression. No toilet paper in bathroom obviously an oversight. Cold bathroom as no heating on at 6 pm. Given a portable heater then heating was switched on by which time we were out. Outer security door very stiff could barely get in at10 pm after many attempts finally opened. No breakfast available though offer of food available at sister pub in opposite direction.

Tooth paste on the tap on arrival. Broken window pane, blocked up with a piece of cardboard. Manager had no authority, he had keep trying to contact owner for a decision on moving rooms. Terrible experience for our 20th wedding anniversary.
