Scoodic Motel

We stayed at this motel last year on our honeymoon. When we went out East this year it was our first motel when we crossed the border and it was our last motel before crossing again heading home. The only thing i guess i could say negatively about it, is that it doesnt have a complementary breakfast just coffee or tea available in the morning. No big deal though. It was the only thing i could think of..lol

Owners were extremely helpful and waited on us as we arrived late. They were very kind and made our stay very pleasant.

Good quality for the price in that rural area

Very nice area, quiet. The staff were amazing and ensured we had towels and toiletries daily. They questioned the fact that we had two adults (mom and dad) and one child in the room and did charge extra, the beautiful room has two double beds and the three of us had easy access to the full area. We were only there to sleep, as we have family and things to do in the area, so the additional charge for the child seemed to be odd, no other hotels on this trip charged for 3 in the room. We had two rooms, with 2 adults and 1 kid in each. The rooms were clean, spacious and the very well maintained. Each room had a mini fridge, a microwave, and a tv. Great place and we would return all the time, I think this is our 5th stay.

Cute family run motel very close to the US border. Very clean. Thought I booked for 2 adults and 2 children but waa told on checkin that our high-school aged daughters were not children and were chaged an extra 20 dollars. No big deal but something to be aware of.

We arrived late on the evening of our check in, but the owner was wonderful and gave us a dinner recommendation in St. Stephen. The room was clean, VERY spacious, and well kept, the facilities were perfect. It was our final stop before the long road trip home, and was exactly the relaxing stay we needed.

This property has been around for a long time. As a result, the rooms are very small for current times. However, the owners have clearly put a lot of work into the premises and it shows! The rooms are clean, the hosts try very hard to ensure you enjoy the room and the area. We booked this motel because during our last visit to St Stephen, the motel we had been staying at for several years treated us quite badly so we were looking for an alternative. This place more than met our expectations! We were in the Maritimes for an month long stay and in terms of providing the towels we requested and fresh bath mats this is the only place that did this! It was also the cheapest place we stayed. A caution: the bathtub is very small to take a bath but still is adequate for a shower. Also my wife and I who are bigger than average could not pass by each other at the end of the bed at the same time but we quickly adapted. These cautions were not enough to change our opinion that when we go back to St Stephen, we will stay here again!
