Serendipity Cliffside Villa & Suites

Great apartment. Great views. Great stay.

Check-in information could be given earlier and not relying entirely on WhatsApp - if the battery had been flat or there would have been an issue with roaming, we'd not have been able to meet the host as we hadn't even received a clear meeting place. (The apartment has no house number, nor is "Serendipity" indicated anywhere.) Not a real problem for us, but there are many stairs to take every time one leaves the apartment.

Sunset

We're a family of 4 with two teenagers and stayed in the deluxe 3-bedrom Sea View Villa at Serendipity Cliffside Villa & Suites. It was exactly what we expected - clean, spacious and a real, authentic Santorini cave house experience. PLUS, a view of the Caldera to absolutely die for! Deep blue water as far as the eye could see and a perfect, quiet spot to watch the sunset each day with a glass of wine. Some of the locals say the sunset is better in Imerovigli than in Oia because Imerovigli sits higher. Location was good - close to nice restaurants like Anogi, Avocado and Mama Lena. Also walkable to the bus stop that takes you to Fira which is the central hub for coach transport across the island. There isn't an onsite concierge but we were greeted by a friendly property manager named Cristina who told us everything we needed to know about the property. She was also contactable at anytime via WhatsApp and was super responsive with answers and recommendations. Like most places in Santorini, there are quite a few steps to get up and down, but they offer a reasonably-priced porter service to assist with luggage. Daily housekeeping was great. Would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Amazing view, excellent location, quiet and just off the main footpath.

Did not sufficiently restock supplies such as shampoo, conditioner and sugar for the coffee after they ran out.

The views over the caldera were absolutely stunning and priceless — in our stay on Santorini and other Greek islands, it was really exceptional even though we didn’t have the best weather to fully enjoy it. The villa itself was also gorgeous, unique and comfortable. The property manager, Christina, was kind and helpful. We arrived in the early morning, and appreciated the extra effort to allow us to check in early; she also provided recommendations of local activities, including Spa Del Mar e de Sol in Thira (which we also recommend).

There was nothing not to like — it was lovely. A heads up for those coming with a car that parking can be tricky as there is limited space in the neighborhood although we always managed. The use of the patio area and the views would have been even better with an eating table/chairs, or lounge chairs.

The location was superb, really nice caldera view. Beautiful cave rooms, unique experience.
