Klinkt gek, maar het heerlijke dekbed!

This is a very dated hotel that is in need of basic renovation and repairs. The new owner has just taken over this property and that needs to be taken into consideration.

Friendly staff. Good sized room

Initial appearance. Breakfast was not value for money. Sink in suite was minus the tap. There was no waste pipe to the sink - which we discovered after emptying tea down. Need a sign over the sink to say don’t use.

Der Biergarten sah sehr nett aus und die Unterkunft liegt erreichbar ohne Auto in der Nähe des Fernwanderwegs „Cotswold Way“. Unsere Gastwirtin war sehr nett.

Die Unterkunft war klein, verstaubt, der Fernseher hat nicht funktioniert. Tage vorher wurde weder auf Nachrichten über Booking noch zahlreiche Anrufe zum Frühstück reagiert, bzw. es war niemand erreichbar. Die Antwort kam erst 2(!) Tage nach dem Aufenthalt. Alles in allem ist es dreist, dieses Zimmer für 134 Euro anzubieten. Essen nicht inbegriffen. Da wir 6 Tage den Fernwanderweg „Cotswold Way“ gelaufen sind, hatten wir jeden Tag eine andere Unterkunft - diese hatte mit Abstand das schlechteste Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, keine Erreichbarkeit und das unsauberste Zimmer. Ähnlichen Komfort hatten wir auch für 60 Euro bekommen, da würde ich mich auch gar nicht beschweren.

Executive suite was clean, tidy, hot shower and comfortable bed. At the time of our visit the kitchen staff were absent due to a family illness so the 'manager' Clare stepped in and offered to make us pizzas which were freshly made and delicious. Clare made us bacon butties as opposed to a full breakfast, again these were great. Clare was so helpful and made us feel welcome, even giving us a lift to the station on her way home!

I found it great value for money.
