The Diving Lodge Downtown

Muy buena ubicacion con salida privada a la playa. Incluye reposeras en la playa. Cocina muy bien equipada y todo muy nuevo. Cama muy amplia y comoda. Hay personal disponible durante el dia (hasta las 18:30) para solucionar cualquier problema Mensión especial a la buena disposición del anfitrión que me permitió un check-in mas temprano y una salida más tarde Realmente excelente lugar. 10 puntos

No hay nada negativo. Lo unico que se puede observar es que el beach-bar pone un poco alta la musica en la playa durante el dia. Pero no se escucha desde las cabañas y ademas terminan temprano y no molesta para descansar.

Wegen einer Flugverspaetung kamen wir erst nach 1:00 morgens beim Hotel an. Leider war aber das Hotel schwer zu finden. Bei Nachbarhotel war noch jemand wach, aber die kannten "The Diving Lodge Downtown" nicht. Als wir auf der Mauer den Hotelnamen geschrieben sahen, waren wir ueberzeugt, dass wir es gefunden haben, aber es war komplett abgesperrt. Nach einiger Zeit rumsuchen, ob eventuell eine Nachricht an uns zu finden sei, haben wir das Tor irgendwie von innen aufgemacht. Einmal drinnen im Hof, haben wir dann das Apparement gefunden. Wegen Tauchen haben wir auch nachgefragt, weil "Diving Lodge" und uns wurde gesagt, dass sich jemand bei uns melden wuerde, was aber nie passiert ist. Deswegen sind wir nach zwei Naechten auch wieder abgereist.

Una excelente opción para pasar unos dias en Puerto Morelos. SI cuentas con auto, estás a minutos de Cancun y Playa del Carmen. Tienen el centro de buceo, Beach club y piscina y la playa está muy bien. Los chicos en general son muy amables y simpáticos. Seguro trataremos de venir por estancias más largas para bucear en la bella barrera de coral de Morelos.

Solo el tema del sargazo por ahora.

Kids would have liked to use the pool but being off season it wasn’t clean

The location was great, the best beach in the area. I loved the small hotel that wasn’t a party resort- but more of a local experience.

There wasn’t a front desk- or a clear contact person. We were greeted by the groundskeeper (who was really friendly just hard to understand) who took us to someone else’s room, and I had a lot of questions, but just found random people in Diving Bar shirts to ask… it worked but was quirky. It’s also not ideal for young kids who nap- there was loud music at 12 each day, and lots of other loud activity for maintenance midday. Again- it’s hard to find something that would suit naptime- so this place was almost perfect, just one flag!
