Makarun Heritage Rooms

We had a truly wonderful stay at Makarun. The highlight was without a doubt the exceptional staff that was genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. They went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences and requests. A special shout-out for the effort put into personalizing our breakfast. This is the perfect spot for anyone who values thoughtful, personalized care and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The staff were really nice and helpful. Mario even sat down with me and went through a map and showed me where my booked tours started from. When one of my tours got cancelled, he even helped me find another one to replace it. I really felt like they wanted to take care of me and this goes a long way when you're traveling alone in a new country. I also loved the fact that both mornings of my stay I left before breakfast and each night they packed me a huge bag of food for the next day with sandwich, fruit, drinks, yogurt, cookies and other other treats! I thought that that was a lovely touch! The room was also very nice and clean. The location is excellent to explore the Old Town. I felt very safe as a solo traveller. Communication and directions prior to arrival were excellent.

The staff was amazingly kind and the breakfast was the best we have had in our 2 weeks in Croatia. The location is fantastic and I would highly recommend the restaurant as well.

Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable. Even with the restaurant below it was not noisy.

I had a lovely stay at Makarun Heritage Rooms. It was more like a Bed and Breakfast experience, with personalised service. I particularly appreciated Ivan and Tia’s warm hospitality, and the gentleman who helped me with my luggage. The location was perfect for walking around the main sights and getting the ferry to Hvar.

Very minor things such as noise from either restaurant staff or other guests late at night going up and down the stairs outside my room. But these are the sorts of things you experience at many hotels.
