Metchosin Beach House

Location was great and very convenient.

Unfortunately the property itself was very dirty. There was hair from previous guests on the bed and even on the bathroom walls. The house did not seem to be vacuumed or properly cleaned before our arrival. The kitchen items were not clean, and the BBQ was extremely filthy and completely unusable. Overall, the cleanliness was very disappointing

This is not a beach house as advertised. It is the top floor of the trailer parks communal house. There is no door directly to the outside. You have to walk through a coded door, through the clubhouse by all of the bathrooms down a weird Hall and then do another coded door and then up a flight of stairs to the house. Not at all a place to play if you want to send the kids outside to play on the beach and you watch from upstairs. Very shady. Also as a side note the place was disgusting and we had to throw away used orthodontic accessories. Also it is super weird to use that back deck because it is literally overlooking where people are camping as there are trailers surrounding the facilities. Not just camping trailers, long-term living trailers.

Not as advertised - you don’t have the house to yourself, it’s the upper floor of an admin building in an RV park. The manager also lives in that building (no access from this unit, but you can still hear their TV/shower/etc). When we went there it was 34 degrees and almost unliveable, we had to move all the mattresses to the main room and open the one door with a screen. Not very clean and oven was broken. To be clear, the people that work there were very very nice, but this was not at all as advertised.

We loved the look and layout of the house. The beds were comfortable. We liked the games and puzzles provided for entertainment. We especially loved the deck.

The house did not have working cable tv as advertised. The oven was out of order. The house had not been cleaned well as there was a lot of food/dirt inside the cupboards. Some doors and windows had been bolted shut from the outside. There was no coffee, tea, etc provided like most places. The kitchen was not very well stocked for cooking ware and utensils.

Value for money. Huge place for big group. Beach front.

The property was in a spectacular position, fabulous views of the ocean and beach. The property was large and comfortable. We would definitely go back.

The property wasn’t well stocked. Only 2 dessert spoons and 1 teaspoon, no coffee or tea, salt and pepper and we had to wash a lot of the dishes and crockery as they were not clean. We think there was a leak under the sink in the ensuite. The property itself could benefit from a revamp as it is a bit tired.

The house is wonderful with lots of facilities. The TV and internet were not working and we couldn't get any help to get back on line so that was a bit disappointing, especially during the playoffs of the Stanley Cup. It would be wonderful if you could purchase a pack of some sort that had salt, pepper, littl
